Hi. and welcome to my auction of this truly magnificent car!There is a lot to say about this vehicle. and I will provide as much info as possible. For those serious buyers out there I'm sure it will be appreciated!Ok. this car was first registered in January 1991. and before anybody decides to doubt it's authenticity. I have a Heritage certificate from Jaguar. and an email from the same. clearly stating it is the FIRST EVER XJR-S 6. 0 litre facelift. not just a 6. 0 litre. an XJR-S 6. 0. but it gets even more interesting. we have good reason to believe it is the very same car that stood on the Earls Court Motorshow back in 1991. mainly due to the unique similarity of features and that it is number one. and owned by Jaguar as a press vehicle. We cannot confirm the stand part but feel free to investigate. she's a well known car in the field. and having made their own enquiries Jaguar World Monthly featured the car in December 2012. stating that beyond reasonable doubt she is the one. I have a copy for the new owner. The car had a few changes of hands in its early days. probably used as a promotional vehicle. until it reached an owner in Derby who owned it for around ten years. and it stood in dry storage until he fell ill and I rescued it. Upon purchase the car was in excellent sound and good running condition. but suffering the usual storage wars. From there it wasn't so much a restoration. but more of a re-commission. The bodywork was great and original. but had suffered the odd scratch here and there in storage that couldn't simply be polished out. and had to be resprayed. criminal really as it was so good. This has been done to a superb standard. Only two tiny repairs were made before the painting. Mechanically? The car has covered just 81. 00 miles. You would be better reading the magazine article to fully understand what has been done. due to the fact that it is a prototype vehicle it is a mix match of pre and facelift parts. which made it a complex job. but despite this she has had. full fuel system drain. water flush. radiator tunnels cleaned. new filter. new plugs. oil. filter. plugs. leads. rotor arm. distributer. all four drive belts. ignition coil. air con unit replaced for new to meet current laws. gas charge. bushes. joints. exhaust part. bearings. battery. the list goes on and on. £1000's spent! I have invoices for everything since I bought it which is frightening when you start totting it up! The wheels have been refurbished with a mirror finish sitting on two Pirelli P6000's. two Avons. new wheel nuts and Jaguar valve caps in chrome. The interior is a great place to be. all seems to be working with the exception of the cruise control. not-investigated. All I did inside was remove the seats. rust proof the floor pans. shampoo the carpets. replace the door trim wood. renovate the ski-slope. and have the drivers seat treated due minor wear. With its wood. grey leather and grey carpets it really is lovely. and I've seen and owned Jaguars up to 15 years newer with interior less clean. Also has elec windows. seats. heated seats. Alpine multi CD. adjustable intermittent wipers. elec aerial. etc. quite advanced for it's day. Just this month she was professionally wax-oiled again. had new gearbox mounts. and a new exhaust part. I will be taking her for an M. O. T tomorrow. so you will get it with 12 months test and Tax until November. The car drives superb. and the looks and comments you receive when out and about almost justify the money I have spent. Not that quick by today's standards off the mark. but once she gets going. You will see beyond 120mph before even seeing top gear. not that I would know! With these cars its all about cruising. luxury and appearance. and it's just great cruising along the motorway at the speed limit showing 2. 00 rpm but the power is there when needed. Apparently mine has a few tweaks boosting from 333bhp to around 375bhp. but this is unconfirmed. I have magazines from 1991 relating to the XJR-S. which are just fantastic.  HPI certificate. Heritage certificate. VOSA printout for mileage/owner list. Jaguar folder containing all handbooks and a full service history. spare keys. breathable full car cover. show plates showing XJR-S 6. 0. pictures of the car on the Jaguar stand in 1991 the list goes on and on. I know I've missed a lot of stuff out. but feel free to ask. and I will get back to you. This is part of our private Jaguar collection. and a real regrettable sale This is a ONE OFF car. that can never be replaced. but I desperately want an E-Type! (Mid life crisis) Please see my XJS Convertible for sale. I am not desperate for the money. offers invited. I have been told the last three 6. 0's facelifts have been sold abroad. a shame. but if the funds are in my account and cleared I will accept an offer from Europe. and can even assist with the delivery at buyer's cost. No test pilots I'm afraid. The car went for it's M. O. T today. and passed without an advisory. not bad for a 22 year old car!
