(I was just informed by an Ebayer that the side moldings are after market). This first generation Camaro was built at the Van Nuys plant. This car is 1 of the 4 that were chosen to be used for a huge marketing campaign at Universal Studios in 1967 to be introduced to the world. If you are able to find an old commercial for the introduction of the 1967 Chevy Camaro. chances are very good that it was this car. My clients father was a studio executive at the time and was able to purchase it through GM when filming was wrapped. Since then. the car was passed down to his son who is 75 years old now and is ready to let it go to a good home. The car is completely original! At some point. he remembers his dad having the roof replaced by Chevy and the pin stripes re-done. It has been well taken care of. his dad was in his 60's when he bought the car new. There is less than 130. 00 miles on the original motor. The car has been garaged its entire life with regular maintenance. It starts. runs and drives like it should. Also. the interior is original. the back seat is in very good condition. I wasn't able to take off the seat covers in the front. though I did lift the drivers side a bit and there is a tear only in the bottom. I will be going for a ride in this car tomorrow and will try to get the seat covers off and get better photos overall of the car.
I can't imagine opportunities like this come up very often "So get it while you can!"
