Very Low Mileage Mk1 Granada

Well. where do i start with this one. A genuine barn find. or should i say a garage find.

The Granada has only one owner from new. never been welded on and is completely original. i mean completely original. I even have the radio instructions and touring mirror extensions. all class stuff. There is just under 16K on the clock and with the bodywork like it is i can safely say this is the genuine mileage.

She is a bright orange with immaculate black unmarked interior. Black vynal roof with a fully working slide / tilt sunroof with no leaks at all.

Story behind how we came about this classic. a good friend of ours was dealing with an old ladies estate as she had to go into a home. so she had 2 vehicles. one being this stunning Granada. Her husband had sadly passed away some time prior and she couldnt part with the car. so it sat in a dry lock up for over 20 years.  The tax disc was from 1983. the last time the Granada was on the road.

We pushed her (the Granada. ) out of the garage. pumped up the tyres and loaded her onto the trailer. Due to work commitments. i had to send the car to an old skool Ford specialist to service and get the old girl started. He did just that and replaced the water pump when he was at it along with oil filtyer. oil the usual boring stuff. The engine is as sweet as a nut and starts first time. We also installed a new battery. Paintwork was next on the agenda. as there was some surface rust. nothing serious as you can see from the pics she looks stunning. ! A retro car specialist painted the car at considrable cost. Receipt available on request.

Now for a few things i have to mention as im a genuine Ebayer and would appreciate the same in return - No MOT. but bodywork is immaculate. nbsp;items i would say that would require attentions -

Exhaust - rear box burst. one on order. will go with the car. Brakes - will require a minor overhaul. they stop the car now. but not sure if they would pass an MOT. Tyres. - need replaced. but they hold air and are the originals. Spare needs replaced.   

I replaced the 2 front headlights. so these will need set. interior is immaculate and everything works.  Doors are all immaculate and no sag or issues with door pins. All i can say is this Granada wouldnt take much to make into a show car. It needs a good going over. maybe a 'fine tune' to see her back on the road in her true glory. I do have some spares that will go with car.

There is no V5. but if you need this prior to sale. thats no problem. but will add an extra owner and i feel that with the low miles. adding extra owners is daft. but can be done if required.  Sadly we didnt receive any history with the Granada. but dont let that put you off. im sure some of the old skool Ford owners club could help you source details.

Its a seriously immaculate Granada that needs a decent home. Im only selling due to needing the garage space. or else she wouldnt be going anywhere. !

Now for the boring part. 'YOU BID TO BUY. ! NOT BID TO HAGGLE OR TRY AND GET THIS GRANADA FOR NOTHING. !! If you dont intend to Buy or have no cash. dont bid please. !! Morning folks. br>Quick update. just been informed that there is one previous owner. so I stand corrected with regards to owners. With regards to the condition of the car exterior. I would say. if being picky. the front bumper. upper area is starting to show signs of rust. but if caught now. a re-chrome would be the answer and the leading edge chrome trim of the bonnet is starting to corrode. This is being brutally honest and don't want any potential buyers to revoke on any deals due to not having the car described properly.
I have received a few offers already. but not what I would safely let the car go for. The reserve is set at a decent level. I'm realistic with the price for the car. it is in very good shape for its age. but I realise. no history. no MOT and V5 maybe an issue for some buyers. Please don't let that put you off as this is a very genuine car looking for an enthusiast to make this car pristine and ready to show or just enjoy.
