You are bidding on a 1987 Unimog SEE.   Here is a little history on the machine.

I purchased this machine a few years ago.   Before owning this. I only had a two-wheel drive backhoe. and I needed something more surefooted and powerful to drive up and down and work on our mountain roads.   I got the Unimog SEE because it is geared extremely low and I liked the idea of having the attachments. like the chainsaw and jackhammer. to use.

Since purchasing it. it has lived in my garage.   One of the great things about this vehicle. is that it was made for the US Military so there are many parts out there. and best of all the user manuals and maintenance manuals are all free downloads and very detailed.   That being said… I have done the following fixes on the machine:

New Batteries

New Clutch Master (Brakes and Clutch have been bled)
Replaced Hydraulic seals on both dippers on the loader

Replaced one of the hydraulics rams that locks the backhoe in place when down.

There are a few things here and there that I have not had time to get to:

There is a dripping leak from one of the cylinders on the backhoe

The engine does not turn off with the key. you have to put the hand throttle in the OFF position to stop the engine.

After watching the videos. I think I needed to clean the fuel sediment bowl (very easy job. )  That is probably why the exhaust is smoking.   That. and it was a cold morning when I took the videos.

The tires hold air and have good tread. but do have some cracks.   I would probably replace them if I was going to keep it.

The engine runs strong.   After sitting for a while. we do use starter fluid to help it get going. but after it is warm. it runs like new.

The reason I am selling the Unimog. is because I just purchased a newer backhoe to replace the Unimog and my older backhoe.   I was just at my place yesterday and put the machine outside. so a friend of mine could help with loading for who every buys it.   You will need to be able to pick this up with a truck that has ramps.   My friend can help drive it onto the truck. if needed.

This is being sold as is where it is.   Bidder is responsible for shipping.   I take my feedback seriously. and I want to make sure that you know what you are getting.   I will answer any questions as well and honestly as I can.

I reserve the right to stop the auction early.

Let me know if you have any questions.
