1957 Chevrolet Corvette

1957 Chevrolet Corvette finished in Venetian Red over Shoreline Beige interior. This is arguably the most well put together. cleanest example of the Chevrolet Corvette in the entire world! A COMPLETE frame off restoration that lasted 8 years was just completed and not a single dollar was spared. The restoration process has been documented extensively. This Corvette has it's original MATCHING NUMBERS motor/transmission and has been driven ONLY 3 MILES since the restoration.

To begin the restoration. the body was completely removed and the chassis was sandblasted and wire brushed. Every piece of the undercarriage that came from the factory black. was restored and powdercoated in a durable flat black finish. The chassis was then restored using all new old stock or original restored parts.

A Nation Corvette Restorer's Society MASTER JUDGE then started the assembly of the Corvette and spent OVER 186 HOURS piecing this car back together with Top Flight Chapter Award preparation in mind. EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF THIS CORVETTE HAS EITHER BEEN RESTORED OR REPLACED. This Corvette has a rebuilt and balanced motor. new radiator/rear end/suspension/driveshaft/wheels/spare tire/jack/glass/seats/seat covers/generator/master cylinder/brakes/all lines/gas tank horns/signals/steering wheel/seat belts/fuses/door handles/cranks/headlights/mirrors etc. etc. There is not a single piece on this car that has not been addressed!

The matching numbers 283 V8 motor was built by Dave Barcott of Custom Engine and machine and dynographed at Shark Racing Engines. The motor put out 300lbs of torque and 292 horsepower! Keep in mind that this Dyno reading was from a BREAK IN run. The motor was brand new and could have been pushed much harder resulting in more much more power.

This Corvette is 1 of ONLY 6339 produced in 1957. 1 of ONLY 7 Corvettes were ever ordered for 1957 with the combination of Venetian Red/Shoreline Beige/Shoreline Beige top. 1 of ONLY 1621 with the dual quad solid lifter engine. 1 of ONLY 4282 with the 3 speed transmission. 1 of ONLY 2704 with the radio delete. 1 of ONLY 1772 with the positraction rear end. 1 of ONLY 3545 with two tone paint. 1 of ONLY 1320 finished in Venetian Red. 1 of ONLY 716 with Shoreline Beige Coves. 1 of ONLY 1315 with Shoreline Beige interior. 1 of ONLY 1127 with the Beige Top.

It does not get any better than this! This is basically a brand new 1957 Corvette that just rolled off the showroom floor!
