1987 Porsche 911

I am selling my 1987 911 Non-Factory Turbo Look Cabriolet w/rear wing delete. This is a true numbers matching G Series 911 that went through a complete restoration in 2010 or 8. 00 miles ago! I am the third owner of this true SoCal delivered cabriolet with currently 73. 00 miles on car. This Cabriolet was delivered new to Glendale Porsche in 9/1987. I have all the books and service records going back to original owner. The second owner. purchased the car from his client(original owner) with 65. xx miles and proceeded to rebuild the motor. The second owner. currently owns and operates a prominent Porsche service facility in the Los Angeles area.

- Restored by owner of Stuttgart Automotive 2010 @ 65. 00 miles or appx 8. 00 miles ago

- Porsche factory steel turbo front fenders and rear flares installed by the best metal crafter in LA.  

- All the Turbo look components were added and are all OE Porsche.  

- The car was disassembled with removal of complete drivetrain. doors. glass. & received a bare metal repaint in Porsche Silver Metallic paint.  

- All new rubber seals. gaskets. and weather stripping were replaced upon rebuild.  

- The convertible top was replaced with a brand new OE Porsche top.  

- The interior leather seat covers and door interior panels were also replaced with OE Porsche leather.

- The interior carpet and front trunk carpet kits were replaced with OE Porsche carpet kits.  

- New floor mats were also fitted.  

- New H5 headlights. new turn signals. new fog lights.  

- The AC was converted to R134 and works perfectly.  

- The suspension was also refurbished which included replacement of shock absorbers with new units.  

- The 3 spoke Porsche sport steering wheel was fitted recently with a new leather skin.  

- Tonneau cover is also in like new condition.  

- Currently the car is fitted w/17"x8" and 9" new Euromeister Fuchs with new Continental tires w less then 300 miles.  

- Clutch components and transmissions synchros were also replaced at engine overhaul.  

- New Alpine Bluetooth Headunit/Stereo. New Appearance correct door speakers.  

Car is beautiful and everything works as intended.  

Mechanicals:

- Brakes work extremely well with pads at 80%.  

Recent service work includes:

-New brake master cylinder and brake fluid flush (300 miles ago)

-New fuel pump relay (300 miles ago)

-New rocket shaft seals and valve adjustment. (200 miles ago)

-New Catalytic converter 11/2016 and smog inspection completed. (100 miles ago)

Suspension: 

-Oem suspension completely refreshed w/new Shocks fitted 

Electrical/Lights: 

-All gauges. lights. electrical work as intended. Led bulbs fitted on guages and interior lights.  

-All lights and accessories function as intended

Engine/Transmission: 

-Original 3. 2 liter motor. It runs very strong.  

-Engine was removed along with the transmission at overhaul.  

- Original G50 unit. Replaced all the bushings related to the shifter 

- New clutch components and adjusted shift coupler.  

- 2nd and 3rd gear synchros were replaced and the the rest checked out ok.  

- Engine was completely rebuilt. case split. cleaned up. and detailed.  

- The spark plugs. plug wires. distributor cap. rotor. motor mounts. and starter were replaced. Valves were adjusted and turbo valve covers were fitted along with new gaskets.  

- Oil change was performed using Brad Penn and refilled the tranny with Swepco.  

Overall:

The car has been driven appx 8. 00 miles since the restoration was completed. Its in fantastic. like new shape. with most of the major components fixed or replaced at that time. The car drives. shifts. and stops in fantastic fashion. This 911 is extremely reliable. The car is at a stage where it can be enjoyed by the new owner for years to come!
