Greetings. br>This is an original 1969 C-10. It was painted in 1989. the previous owner was a wood worker and he installed a maple bed. then it was parked in heated heated garage until 2014. I am the third owner. I bought it from the original owners grandson in Union City. TN. It had about 43000 miles on it when I bought it. I have driven it daily. It has been parked in a garage or carport. since I have owned it. There is a little rust starting on the rockers (see photos). The cab corners are fine. as is the rest of the truck. I installed a new fuel tank. tires. brakes. points. plugs. distributor cap. rotor. spark plug wires. belts. hoses. alternator. power steering pump. carburetor. shocks. springs. exhaust. seats. carpet. cruise control. and A/C. I painted the bed because I did not like the maple bed. I have a rubber mat for the bed also. I have the original seat. with the original cover that is in decent shape. I chose the seats it has. because they are more comfortable. There is a small tear in the driver's seat (see photos). The engine runs good. It uses about a quart of oil every 1200 miles. The engine will knock when cold (I have a 2003 GMC and a 2002 Corvette that has a similar cold knock). I would drive this truck anywhere. The A/C is a vintage air system with the vents that install in the dash. I did not want to cut holes in the dash. I have the dash vents as well as the original heat only system.
It was a tough decision to sell this truck. but I am going to start traveling more. and did not want to put the wear and tear on this nice vintage truck.
I am located about 70 miles from St Louis. and I would be glad to pick up the winning bidder at the airport. You can drive it home with confidence. I've taken it on a few trips to Oklahoma. Texas. and Wisconsin. It drives great.
This truck is sold "as is". there is no warranty. implied. or otherwise. The reserve is less than what the truck is worth. and the reserve is confidential. I will not tell you what it is. you can bid to find out. If it does not make reserve. I am going to replace the rockers. and re-list with a higher reserve. If you have any questions. please ask.
I will require a $500. 00 PayPal deposit within 48 hours of auction end. and the remainder will be due before the truck leaves my property. I'd prefer a cashiers check. however cash is ok too.
Good Luck. br>Phil
