The Ultimate Oldsmobile

1950 Olds Coupe

 

This car was a no expense spared. three year build. Everything is new and mostly all Oldsmobile.

The Chassis is hand build using olds cutlass parts both front and rear. The car rides on coil springs on all four corners with power steering and power disc brakes up front and trailing arm suspension in the rear. The floor was all hand built from the rear seat back to clear the rear trailing arms. The gas filler was relocated to behind the rear license plate and a 21 gallon tank from a olds 98 was used.

The engine is a 1969 Olds 455 "C" head motor and the trans is a 1969 turbo 400. A massive custom build. layed back radiator with custom shroud and temp controlled cooling fan keep the car cooled. The firewall was smoothed and custom inner fender panels were hand formed. The battery was relocated to the trunk in a hidden side panel with master cut off switch.

The interior is finished in  2-tone light fawn ultra-leather. 3 point seatbelts in front and lap belts in rear. Hidden Kenwood fm/cd/pandora stereo. Electric wipers. The biggest Air/heat unit Vintage Air sells. Power windows work off the original window handles. The steering wheel was restored and the diameter reduced to 15". The trunk area is finished the same and has a hidden storage area in bulkhead.

Every item that was chrome or stainless was re chrome plated or re-polished. all the glass/felts/rubbers are all new.

The car rolls on new steel wheels. restored olds hubcaps and diamond back radial wide whitewall tires.
