1981 Jeep CJ5

Up for your consideration is a 1981 Jeep CJ5 in very good condition. This Jeep has been located in the Willamette Valley in Oregon it's entire life. and was recently in storage for 12 years.  The Jeep features the rare GM 151 "Iron Duke" engine and a 4 speed manual transmission.  The Jeep starts. drives. shifts and runs as it should.  The tub is solid with minimal rust. The undercarriage is very clean and I've not seen any evidence of leaks or drips. The odometer functions properly and reads <58. 00. The person I purchased the vehicle from claims the miles are original. and I believe this to be true. The engine appears original. and the battery is new. Starts up with a few pumps of the throttle (choke is inop) and runs great after a few minutes of warming up. I've never taken this Jeep off road. however I recently engaged the 4x4 and it works fine. The tires are in excellent shape with about 50% tread remaining. The spare is new. The front seats are in excellent condition and the rear is in good condition with some wear and a couple of cracks in the seat.  I've used this Jeep as my summer run around vehicle. I've only had it on the freeway once. and it held 65 mph just fine. but do not expect much more than that. The only rust came from when water got under the floor mats some time ago causing a some light surface rust in the floorboards. but they are solid. original and cancer free. Fenders and frame appear to be rust free. There is a small rust spot on the drivers side just above the floorboard (see picture). The Jeep has a wrinkle in the drivers side front fender and a crack in the windshield in the corner on the passenger side. Included are what appear to be the original doors in very good condition. the top. which is in good condition and a Bimini top. All the hardware I have for them come with the jeep as well. The title is clean. free and clear of encumbrances and in hand.
