SELLER REMARKS

If you have any questions about the quality of this 1940 Ford pickup. allow us to refer you to the 50 or so show trophies that accompany it. Spectacular to look at and fully sorted so it's a show vehicle you can actually drive. this beautiful Ford is like nothing you've ever seen before.

OK. let's get the obvious out of the way first: the color is a Dupont creation called "Street Rod Peach. and if it's not your thing. then you can stop reading right here. On the other hand. if you're tired of red and black and even garden-variety purple. then this is one impressive way to grab some attention. Of course. painting it this color means you'd better nail the other stuff. too. so the original steel body had its cab chopped a few inches and the windshield raked back. and then a fiberglass tilt front end was grafted on the front. The original bed was restored beyond anything the factory had in mind. and equipped with a pair of fiberglass fenders and mini tubs. That oak bed was finished with seven layers of clear so it glitters like the floor in Madison Square Garden. and then fitted with a 15-gallon fuel cell that looks like a vintage beer keg. just for effect. Other tricks include HID headlights. laser-cut Ford script cutouts in the rear roll pan for the brake lights. working in conjunction with 1939 Ford chevron units. and. of course. that trick license plate frame that disappears from view the moment you shut off the engine. It really shouldn't be surprising that this truck owns so many trophies.

As wild as the exterior seems. the subtle gray tweed interior compliments it just fine. Remote actuated door poppers give you access to a neat 2-seat passenger compartment with high-back buckets and simple details that work with the high-contrast truck. It's all new. of course. with lots of billet and polished aluminum. new Ford instruments that have a vintage look. and a handsome Grant GT woodgrained steering wheel. Power windows. power seats. a tilt steering column. and an AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod interface and an amplifier stashed under the seat make it a pleasure to drive and you'll probably find it hard to resist when the open road calls.

For power. it runs a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. and reliability was the reason. While it sure looks like a trailer queen. this truck was really built to run and it just wouldn't do to have a truck this visible breaking down by the side of the road. Built by Aaron's of St. Louis. it features a Weber 4-barrel carburetor. an Edelbrock dress-up kit. and an all-new electrical system that was refitted in 2012. The cooling system was just serviced and includes a new cooling fan. and the block-hugging headers dump into a custom dual exhaust system that sounds extraordinary. Out back. a slick quick-change rear end gives it a vintage performance vibe as well as a great look for those following you. and staggered Torque Thrusts carry 185/60/15 front and 29x15R15 rear meats.

Gorgeous. well-executed. and fully sorted. this is the kind of rod that will always be the star of the show. If you're man enough to handle the color. I guarantee you'll love the truck. Call today!
