FOR SALE A 1977 RS MEXICO IN NEED OF A FULL RESTORATION. THE CAR HAS BEEN DRY STORED FOR 7 YEARS WAITING FOR ME TO START ON THE PROJECT BUT I DONT HAVE THE TIME TO RESTORE THE CAR SO SHE IS NOW UP FOR SALE.

THE CAR WAS A RUNNER WITH A GOOD 2LTR PINTO FITTED WHEN IT WAS PARKED UP. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN STARTED SINCE IT WAS PUT INTO STORAGE. THE MOTOR TURNS OVER FREELY BY HAND WHEN I REMOVED THE PLUGS. THE CAR IS ALMOST COMPLETE APART FROM THE BOOT SPOILER WHICH WAS LOANED OUT TO SOMEONE AND NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTO'S THE CAR IS FITTED WITH A RS2000 CUSTOM INTERIOR IN BLACK. THE CAR HAS VARIOUS AREAS OF RUST AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM A RESTORATION PROJECT. THE AUCTION ALSO INCLUDES A PAIR OF FRONT WINGS AND A FRONT PANEL (NOT FORD ITEMS).

I have had a lot of people asking about the car and if it is a Mexico etc. The car is a Mexico and not a copy. the V5 is all correct with the VIN GCAT and the document states ESCORT MEXICO II The number of former keepers is 12. I have copies of the old V5's which were obtained from the DVLA. The car was supplied through VMN Motors Coalpit Heath. Bristol in Venetian Red.

These bids will be removed. when the auction ends the deposit must be paid within 24hrs and contact made by phone to me to arrange the collection of the car.
