the car was purchased from a rabbi. hen holidaying in california - he had owned the car from new - it was on a black plate - sun 766. hich i still have (actually i have left the front no. plate exactly as it was) but the car was re-registered over here in august 2011 - hence showing no previous keepers - and was given an age-related no. plate reading "hon 846 d"
since then. 've had a new roof lining put in and had the seats re-covered. ut is all totally original. all of the wooden furnishings are totally original. lthough some of the veneer has flaked in a couple of places. the mileage is showing 14. 33 - whether this is accurate i cannot confirm - probably not as the speedo does not work!
the car has fully working air-con. as and 4 x electric windows. the front seats are like sitting in an armchair. ith pull down armrests for pure luxurious travel - the car just glides along giving a real feeling of superiority when on the road.
whenever used. he car attracts lots of admiration and rightly so. s it is a beauty - buyer will not be disappointed!
i would like to just point out that although amazing to look at. t is not 100% perfect - there are a few little jobs that need doing. just never got round to it. there are a few clips broken that hold the trim in place here and there. he map light cover is missing. s already mentioned the speedo doesn't work and the o/s wing mirror is cracked. none of them really difficult to do. ust needed a mention!
basically. he reason for selling the car is that i am awaiting shipment of my new american toy. hich will need paying for and so i thought i'd give someone else the chance to own this rare classic with no huge restoration job needed as it is truly a 100% rust and rot-free car - extremely rare!!

*** just to clarify. s i've had numerous people inform me that these cars were not built with a 5. 2l v8 engine. he car has a 307 chevy engine in it - a 5. 2l v8 - this was fitted in 1971. s it is far more reliable than the jaguar engine that was originally with the car. hich was just rubbish (according to the rabbi that owned it anyway!)
so there is no error in the listing specifics as such. ut i do not want to be mis-leading in any way.
