1977 Lancia Montecarlo S1 Coupe for sale

November 1977 Lancia Beta Montecarlo S1 Coupe 2. 0 twin cam 5 speed manual. Rossa Corsa paintwork with Crema seats. Twin Webber 44 DCNF's. riginal factory alloy wheels including spare wheel and twin headlight conversion. Electric windows and removable sunroof.
Subject to a full body strip down and rebuild in 2006 coming second in class in its first show outing after completion. Bodywork included the fitting of new floor pans. ront wings. oor skins/bottoms. ear arches and sills. The car was given a complete repaint whilst striped to its shell. The underside is rust free and rust protected with a zinc rich paint. ndersealed and given a final coat in body colour-see photo. The suspension has been taken apart. ebuilt and polybushed. The brake system has been completely overhauled including new front and rear calipers. aster cylinder. oodridge hoses and new copper/zinc lines which have been re-routed to rectify the S1 brake problems. A photo record comes with the car.
Engine rebuilt with ported and flowed head and balanced and tuned twin 44's. New . 4mm oversized pistons. ew main and big end bearings. ew gaskets and oil seals. prated head gasket and Tubular manifolds. eat wrapped sports exhaust and fabricated heat shield. New distributor with Lumenition sports pack electronic ignition. The induction noise and exhaust note this car produces is intoxicating and makes you want to keep on driving. Comes with a comprehensive history file containing receipts. nvoices and MOT's going back to 1984.
New bonnet nose band just fitted and painted in correct graphite grey with body decals to match. The car is taxed until 31/11/13 and MOT until 22/05/14. Mileage is 70630 and is understood to be correct. 6 previous owners the last having owned it for 14 years.
There are under 200 Montecarlo's registered for the road in the UK making this a rare car-and in this restored condition possibly one of the best. A great example of 1970'S Italian automotive design and one of the most rewarding modern classics to drive and own.
