64 1/2 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE 225hp 289ci V8 4 SPEED 96854 ORIGINAL MILES RESTORED

The introduction of the Mustang in 1964 created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang's styling. with its long hood and short deck. proved wildly popular and inspired a host of imitators. Since it was introduced five months before the normal start of the production year. the earliest Mustangs are widely referred to as the 1964½ model but were marked by Ford as a 1965. Standard interior features included adjustable driver and passenger bucket seats and an AM radio. This particular convertible was optioned with the 225hp 289ci V8 as well as a 4 speed transmission. Although currently titled as a 1965 it was built on June 17. 1964 which technically makes this a 1964 ½. The current owner purchased this car in 2005 as a driver. In 2010 he decided to have it completely restored which entailed replacing the floor pans. trunk pan. quarters. fenders and rockers with brand new metal. During the restoration it was decided to change the exterior color to Sunlight Yellow and the interior was upgraded to a Black and White Pony Interior. The car has an original 96. 54 miles and the original engine still purrs like a kitten. The restoration was completed about a year ago and the car has not been driven a couple of thousand miles since. The restoration itself cost close to $25. 00 and that did not include the original cost of the car. The overall condition of this car is that it is a #2 car and we would appraise it at $37. 00. We know the market is still slow but we want this one to sell fast so we have priced it accordingly!
