1957 Chevrolet Custom 210. Immaculate!

NO RESERVE!

Offers Welcomed!

I am selling this car for a good friend and I am very familiar with the car as most of the work (everything except paint and upholstery) was performed by our friends and the owner in my “professional” hobby shop. It was a long meticulous build spending almost 8 years in my shop.

You are looking at a virtually new 1957 Chevrolet 210 2 Door Sedan with BelAir Trim. The original O. E. M. body and frame was purchased from Reiter's Metal Craft. a quality restoration shop located in Mt. Clemens. MI (reitersmetalcraft. com). Reiter's restored the body to perfection and displayed it in bare metal at numerous shows including the 2001 Detroit Autorama to show the quality of their restoration work. It was purchased from Reiter's in 2001 and was like starting with a perfect. better than factory. “body in white”.

The car was re-built from the “body in white” using all quality new parts with the exception of some trim where the aftermarket replacements were not up to the owner's standards so the O. E. M. trim was beautifully restored. Pro-Touring seems to be an overused word lately. but this car defines the term. It was built to be a comfortable. very fast. great handling. fun to drive car. with a show quality build.   The short story is it is powered by a GMPP ZZ502/502 with Hilborne Electronic Fuel Injection. Vintage Air Conditioning. power rack and pinion steering. power 4 wheel disc brakes. power windows. custom suspension. a custom Turbo 400 trans. and a Mosher sourced nodular Ford 9” rear end. The car has been rarely driven and has less than 2000 miles since built. This '57 Chevy is in show condition and ready to drive anywhere. The starting price is below the build cost.

Details:

Body – O. E. M. 1957 Chevy 210 2 Door Sedan Body. All steel complete rebuild by Reiter's Metal Craft (reitersmetalcraft. com). including new sheetmetal floor pans. and quarters. doors and trunk skins. As previously noted. this body was shown at numerous shows in bare metal to show off their formidable restoration skills. It was like starting with a better than O. E. new body. It was painted a custom tri-coat 2004 Chrysler Inferno Red by Troy Williamson (formerly of Reiter's Metal Craft) and the flames were done by local legend Dion. Rain Gear electric windshield wipers were installed along with custom headlights. Bel Air side trim. front bumper bullets. and a gold anodized grill was also installed along with dual chrome rear view mirrors.

Chrome – All chrome and stainless was replaced or restored to show quality condition. Some of the aftermarket chrome and stainless were not up to the standards of the build so O. E. parts were meticulously restored.

It is very fast and it runs and sounds great!

Numerous spring rate coil over springs were tried until the owner got the ride he expected from these modifications.  Power Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes with an ABS Brand master cylinder and an accumulator mounted on the frame stops the car impressively.
