1971 Porsche 914-6 the rare one! This auction is for a very nice straight 1971 Porsche 914-6. As we all know the vast majority of the 3360 or so 914-6 models that were produced by the factory were 1970 models with only about 443 71 models and only 260 1972 models. This car happens to be the 34th 1971 model made having left the factory in July 1970 of all things! (we all know that usually July is the last month of that years production. August being the first month of the next years production. so something really special must have been going on to make this 1971 914-6 in July of 1970!) In fact so early is the production of this car that it has installed its original interior in 1970 style!!!!!!!!! (we know this to be true as we have the complete ownership papers back to its original purchaser! The car lived its whole life until 2003 in the Washington State area. and only then came to its original collector owner in Florida. so like most washington state cars is and has always been totally rust free Originally silver with black and still that way. the paintwork is certainly driver quality as you can see by the many pictures. with the original door jambs and dot sticker intact. and is clean underneath. Also as you can see by the pictures. this car has had slight front and rear end damage in the past as witnessed by the non factory look caulking. and under the hood paintwork. With 146. 00 original miles. the engine was rebuilt to 2. 2 specs. has perfect compression. and the transmission updated to the later side shift. Five Fuchs wheels. Bilstein shocks. low profile tires. additional VDO gauges. and limited edition spoiler. vary this car from and original concours presentation. but add to its overall drivability. (and can easily be reversed) We at Automobile Atlanta are now selling this car for its current owner. and have just performed a comprehensive maintenance including perfectly rebuilding the carbs. The car is perfectly corner balanced. and as they say now in many e bay ads "laser straight" having just been checked by our body shop Automotivation. Although this six is not ready for the concours presentation. it is a very sanitary correct (except for the afore mentioned) driver. and a very very rare car with GREAT future collectable value so that fact alone makes it a tremendous find. As you know we pride ourselves in being called 914 world headquarters having the world's best purported 914 collection. best 914 catalog. largest collection of both new and used 914 parts. more 914s in any one location and over 275 reproduction 914 parts we manufacture. PLUS Dr. 914 wrote the book on the car in his Tech Tips 700. Hence we know what we are speaking of and you will not be steered wrong! Please call George Hussey with any questions about this 1971 914-6 and or Sean Buckley in our service department about the work we did on this car. Fly in and drive this car home! Small reserve considering what 914s have been selling for these days!!!!

This car actually came with a Blaupunkt radio and as the original radio was inoperative. we took it upon ourselves to install one of our restored Blaupunkt Frankfurts. done by the leading restorer in Europe.  This radio is exactly period correct and has the bulkhead connection for the additional i pod cable.

Please remember that this car is a 1971 and the second rarest of all of the 914-6 production and a car that was probably the earliest 71 production of record. These sixes are 100 thousand dollar cars in five years just like the 356 open cars and now the 69-73 911 s models that proceeded them. Buy one now and thank yourself in the future. Even the other six now in auction is well worth the buy it now price. the seller is a customer of ours and a really great guy. Call me personally with any questions about this car we are selling for a customer of ours. George Hussey
