This XJ-S is believed to be an ex Jaguar Press Car.
Low mileage having covered just 85000 from new.
Excellent mechanically. the car has just been put through an MOT test.
Interior is in very nice over-all condition. Bodywork is best described as somewhere between average and good in my opinion. there are signs of previous paint and repairs some of which need doing again to make the car as it should be although it's presentable enough as it is and polishes up quite well. There are wheel arch covers fitted which have been painted body colour. The wheels are from a later car (an XJ40 I think) and are of the same design used on late model XJS' but these are finished in gold.
The original book pack is with the car and is complete .
The service history book lists the first owner as Jaguar Cars Limited. Company Vehicles. Browns Lane. Coventry and the first 3 stamps show that the car was serviced by the factory. There are a further 5 stamps from a local garage in Coventry taking us upto 67k miles in 1997. Every MOT certificate since 1993 is with the car to support the low recorded mileage. The car was part exchanged by the operator of a classic car rental company and comes with some bills from his time as keeper.
She drives very well indeed and has a great interior. the car catches the eye and turns heads and although it does need some tidying here and there is still a very presentable car with real road presence.
I am as always open to sensible suggestions for a p. x. swap or straight deal.
