Ford : Fairlane 500

Body : This is a rust-free Texas Fairlane 500 C-code body ( 289 2v ). the paint is PPG Tornado red base/clear . The front shock towers were professionally removed and a complete "Flaming River " rack and pinion . coil over suspension was installed for engine bay clearance . the subframes were connected and an 6 point cage installed and tied into the subframes . the rear inner wheelwells were replaced with minitubs leaving the outer wheelwells intact . I installed a set of rust-free " new take-off " doors that were perfect  and painted to match. they were removed in 1967 from a rolled 66 Fairlane and stored ever since . the quarters . trunklid . floor . front fenders . loor . cowl and all sheetmetal are rust-free and straight . the hood is a Crites Fiberglass 427 Fairlane reproduction and is "glass" straight . The stainless and aluminum trim taillights . grill etc are  perfect and the bumpers are rust-free and rechromed . The interior is nice with repro door panels and beautiful refinished seat covers and polished and anodized trim . radio delete  . the seats are GT/XL buckets . Autometer gauges and shift light  . glass is in excellant condition .       Driveline : the rear is a 9" Ford with an S&W rear brace . Strange nodular with 4. 57 gears and 35 spline Strange axles. Alston VariShock coil overs . Alston 4 link with wishbone  . Summit fuel cell . aeromotive fuel pump . 2 new gp 28 - 1000 cca trunk mounted batteries . Motorsport DR-4 transmission ( 2. 93 - 1st . nbsp;1. 87- 2nd . 1. 33 - 3rd . 1. 00 - 4th )  . inline Long shifter . lineloc . nbsp;Wilwood disc brakes front and rear . nbsp; ET  " classic-V " rims ( 15 x 5 - front . 15 x 12 - rear ). Also included with car is a reprint of the FoMoCo factory service manual for the SOHC along with a spare set of fiberglass front and rear bumpers show-painted in metallic grey although the show-chromed steel bumpers are on the car  . Ive  had some questions regarding the aluminum trim and interior on the car . the front and rear windshield stainless trim has been polished and is perfect . the aluminum taillight housings and grill have been polished and re-anodized . the headlight bezels . quarter scripts . grill center emblem . door handles . FORD letters on trunk lid and front signal lenses are NOS Ford . The steel bumpers were rust free cores ( inside and out ) and along with an original Ford mirror were show-chromed at Cambridge Custom Chrome . The weather stripping on the doors and trunk are aftermarket and fit good . all brackets  ( I. E. front signal light retainers . door latches . trunk latch etc. )  and hardware have been re-plated as original or replaced with new / NOS . 427 fender emblems are aftermarket . Wipers . horn . heater etc .  are like new and functional . the front hood trim and fender trim pieces are new .   The instrument cluster and the glove box mouldings have been re-chromed and the carpet and headliner are perfect as is the rest of the interior .
