After thousands of hits. hundreds of watchers and many communications after the end of the auction. I guess people have done their homework and found my car to be good value

in todays classic / hot rod climate. so for the last time it is listed.

There is no reserve on this car. grab a bargain and enjoy the summer cruising.

Up for auction is my very nice 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Coupe. This car had a total restoration in 1999 in the USA. The car is NOT black it is a dark pearl (plum) over black. thus giving a very dark brown in some lights. black in others and a plum/black in bright sun light. The color was a new LEXUS color at the time. the original color of the car was dark brown so this gives it sort of originality with a modern twist.

It is a six cylinder engine with a three speed manual gearbox. a bench seat with two opera seats in the back as can be seen in the photos.   It is classed as a five seater.

The interior is a full Le Baron Bonney set in the correct colour and material.

The car is all steel - it deviates from standard with a conversion to 12 volts with key start. indicators. including four way flashers. it has very light grey tinted windows and dual exhausts with Fenton headers. The engine had a full build at the time of the restoration and was out of a 1952 GMC truck. they are a much better engine than the original 216 with white metal bearings. This car will sit on the motor way at 70 mph with plenty left to overtake if you wish! It does not over heat or embarrass itself in any way.   If I were to use the car as every day transport I would fit a set of small white wall radials. for looks and for handling.   Like all old cars on cross ply tyres it will follow the white line which most people these days won't have experienced.

I bought the car in 2005 from the gentleman in Cleveland Ohio who had owned the car since 1953 and at the age of 80 was going to retire to Florida with his wife and an automatic!

Last year I changed all the wheel cylinders. rubber hoses and master cylinder for the MOT. due to lack of use more than anything. and yes the car is MOT'ed even though it doesn't need to be by law.

The car has many extras. heater/defroster. reversing lamps. search light. over riders and a fold away over rider in the center of the boot. ash tray. clock (not connected). and passenger wiper.

Whether you want to build a rod or run a stock vehicle. here is your chance to buy one for way less than you can build one for.

This car is for pick up only.   If you are bidding from abroad. please email me first before bidding.

Winning bidder must make contact within 24 hours and 10% deposit is due at the end of auction.
