This Austin Seven is a real 'wolf in sheep's clothing' and although it looks like a normal little Austin Seven it is powered by a tuned 900cc OHV Reliant engine. This gives brilliant acceleration and high top speed which. combined with the improved suspension system. provides superb road holding and cornering with brakes to match. a real fun drive !The crankshaft. conrods. pistons. flywheel and clutch have been dynamically balanced. the compression ratio has been increased and the cylinder head has been gas flowed and fitted with stronger valve springs. The four branch exhaust manifold and straight through exhaust system have all been manufactured from stainless steel. The Webber downdraught carburettor is fitted to a cast aluminium inlet manifold. The engine has a thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan ( hardly ever comes on !) and electronic ignition. The front suspension consists of a flat parabolic monoleaf spring and a pair of telescopic shock absorbers. The rear suspension system is by parallel trailing links and Avo adjustable 'coil over' suspension units. Bonded rubber bushes are fitted to all the suspension joints. The combination of the Firestone radial tyres and the suspension system gives a really comfortable ride with superb road holding. The front brakes are hydraulic twin leading shoe and the rear brakes are rod operated Girling. The luggage compartment behind the seats houses the spare wheel. a tool compartment and room for a weekend bag etc etc. The hood and tonneau cover are in excellent condition. The car has been built and developed by a professional engineer over a number of years and every electrical and mechanical component has been thoroughly overhauled before use. The result is a car which is both tremendous fun to drive and 100% reliable. Road tax is free (historic vehicle) and M. O. T. is not required.  insurance costs are about £60 per year.
