History.

This gorgeous little Alfa Romeo GT 1300 junior  was first delivered new on the 27th of August 1972 in Turin Italy. it spent most of its life on the Italian mainland before spending a few years on the Island of Elba and then returned to Florence. now she is living on the beautiful Island of Northern  Ireland.  She is all matching numbers. chassis number: AR1282438 Engine number: AR00539-262964. Desinged by the world famous Italian designer Giorgetto Giugiaro for Bertone. who was named car designer of the century 1999 and inducted into the automotive hall of fame 2002. Giugiaro designed some of the most exotic and stunning cars in the World. the Lotus Esprit and the DeLorean to name only a couple. The design and shape of this Alfa is totally and utterly gorgeous. it has a lot of design cues from the Ferrari 330 but at a fraction of the cost. These early GT alfas have a famous racing pedigree and have been increasing in value in recent times. a lot of experts in the field of collector cars have been writing reviews on how adding one of these to your collection will make a sound investment.

She is without a doubt the most eye catching car I have ever had. there is literally not a person on the street who will not stop what they are doing to check it out and it always brings a smile to everyones face. The build quality of these cars are fantastic. I can not believe how nice they drive. they are solid and so robust. They are also very comfortable on the road. and they handle superbly with a firm suspension. yet smooth. No other car from this era could drive as nice. and they definitely can be used as a daily driver. A period reg number has been fitted "FIA"

There is a lovely history folder with it to include all owners manuals and books. and tons on receipts of work done in its life. and also the original Italian logbook!  Mot'd until September.

Mechanical

There was only a recent full gearbox rebuild done on it by a marque specialist in the UK and it is 5 speed which is very ahead of its time for a 1972 car. The car is showing 125k kilometers or 75k miles original which is very little miles for a 41 year old car. The twin cam engine is first class. it runs like a dream and sounds amazing with the twin 40's sucking! A fortune has recently been spent on it to make it very reliable on the road. All the shocks where renewed. the calipers where all refurbed and new discs also fitted as well as all new brake lines and master cylinder. All the rubber bushings on the suspension where renewed too. Lots of time and money has been lavished on this Alfa to make it a perfect reliable machine for daily driving. or a long distance road trip. Once on the open road you very quickly realise that it drives exceptionally well. it has no vibrations in the steering or suspension. it steers in a straight line and also brakes in a straight line. the new shocks makes it feel great to sit in also.

Interior. /span>

The interior is in beyond exceptional condition. it looks like nobody ever sat in it. the upholstery is unmarked and the original floor matting is unmarked and still has Alfa Romeo Milano written on it. All the door panels are intact and original and have some funky chrome handles and knobs. and look so cool retro design. the cabin is a lovely place to be. the seating position is perfect. the seats are really comfortable and the gearstick is located in the iconic Alfa position which is just where a gearstick should be. Then there is the cool 60's design nardi wooden steering wheel to set everything off.

Body. /span>

The colour is the deepest shade of red in the World and everyone remarks it. It was resprayed professionally twelve years ago. there is a few  bubbles on the paint around the back window and a small crack in the paint along the boot lid edge and two small bubbles on the bottom of the near side door. I got a quote from a local body shop for £350 to fix it and leave it flawless. All the panels are straight and this car has never been damaged. The chrome trim all round is still very good. Underneath the car is rock solid. there is no corrosion issues at all and the boot floor is also rust free. Over all it's a great solid shell.

Wheels/tyres.

All the wheels where refurbed recently and they have four new tyres fitted.
