Austin Sprite 1275cc (produced 1971) Limited number of cars built non-Healey. The Healey connection was discontinued in 1971. so the final 1. 22 Sprites built were simply Austin Sprites. There was no direct successor. as BL's extensive range already contained the MG Midget. which was identical to the Sprite except for badging. This particular car has undergone extensive work over the last few years with dry/ use only since. Prior to me purchasing it the following work was undertaken - full body rebuild. reconditioned engine. single carburetor sports conversion (easier tuning). Since I purchased the car - fuel pump replaced. gearbox replaced MOSS. propshaft replaced. new clutch. rostyle wheels refurbished. bumper grommets added. and fully serviced. engine cork seals replaced. All work professionally undertaken by Simon Robinson and Carrosserie.  The car is very similar to the MG Midget but is getting rarer due to the limited production of this Austin Sprite for 1 year only.   Genuine reason for sale is we have a 3 year old daughter and this car rarely gets used so we are looking to buy a 4 seater classic car instead.   Please email if you would like any more photos or have any questions.   Serious bidders only please. viewings by appt only.
