Welcome to my listing for my mk1 escort. you may recognize the car from June's issue of classic ford magazine. now's you're chance to own it. The car is MOT'D till April 2017 and is tax exempt. This is a seriously quick car that can be used for anything from a track day. drag car or strap the kids in the back and go for a day out. It has recently been for a rolling road session at Devil Developments and I have the print out to confirm it is running at 300 BHP. The car was built from a bare shell by the previous owner a 3 year period. the engine and gearbox are from a 2wd saph cossie and the axle from a mk1 3 ltr Capri. pretty much everything else is brand new. the car has done only 600 miles since being completed. the full spec is below and anyone who is genuinely interested please feel free to ask a question. give me a call or better still come and view I. 1974 mk1 escort. genuine 1300e 2 door shell engine is a 205 block originally from a 2wd saph cossie internals are standard apart from a set of ARP big end bolts and Reinz head gasket. the engine was checked for wear before being installed and all was fine so it was left alone apart from new gaskets. cambelt and tensioner management is a L8 ecu fitted wth a MSD wasted spark conversion and MSD Evolution stage 3 chip. green Bosch 803 injectors and a 3 bar map sensor. Bosch 044 fuel pump the exhaust is a custom built 3'' stainless single box system. turbo is a garret T34 with 0. 63 housing. with electronic boost control pro Alloy custom radiator. intercooler. turbo pre cooler and header tank. gearbox is standard sierra T5. this was stripped and checked by a local specialist before install. Uprated clutch rear axle is from a 3 ltr mk1 capri and is a genuine narrow atlas. its fitted with a 3J LSD unit and has a 3. 44 CWP. front suspension is coil over converted mk3 capri struts. gaz inserts rear is gaz adjustable gold shocks. single leaf springs 2'' lowering blocks anti tramp bars and panhard rod. front lowering arms are adjustable. twin cam anti roll bar. poly bushed all round front brakes are wilwood 4 pots. via remote servo. rear are brand new cossie calipers with manual handbrake. line lock on the fronts and a wilwood peddle box. all pipes are new copper and corbeau braided. Front seats are corbeau rear is the original seat retrimmed with beta cloth 1/2 cage. harness on drivers seat and inertia belts on both front and rear seats. fully carpeted. black headling. dash top retrimmed in black leather. There is a massive list of new parts including new lights. door and window seals. interior trim etc I have stacks of photos from all stages of the build. and binder full of invoices all in date order.
