1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Sport Coupe

The final version of the original impactbumper aircooled '911' this car was first registered in 1988 and was extensively refurbished during 2008/09.

It has its original 3. 2 litre flat six engine all numbers matching and was subject to a bare metal repaint to it's original Granite Green colour.

The car was recently valued by the PCGB and this document will remain with the car.

Exterior :

Sought after coupe version finished in metallic Granite Green with sunroof. whale tail (correct for this car) and 6 and 7 inch original Fuch's alloy wheels with good anodising and centres painted the correct satin black. The bodywork to this car was in pretty good condition when bought but needed repairs to fix previous repairs - it had 1 new front wing. rear wing complete and repairs to the nearside sill all the B posts and other structural elements were sound. It was then bare metal resprayed to the original colour - All this work was carried out by a professional Porsche and Ferrari bodywork specialist in Guildford. Bodywork has a couple of marks due to use but no stone chips or scratches - garage stored under a cover all the time!

Interior :

All electric sports seats with the bigger side bolsters finished in cream leather with grey piping - these are the original seats we just cleaned and recoloured them. no rips or tears but the edge of the bolsters on both seats shows some wear - the back seats are in excellent condition as are the carpets and the overmats. All the interior details were returned to factory down to replacing the aftermarket speaker covers with original specification (£45 each!) it has an original Blaupunkt headunit (with ipod upgrade) and the dashtop is original with no visible damage.

Electrics :

The car has a Cat 1 Sigma alarm (with certificate) fitted around 2007 and all the other electrics are in proper working order. the starter motor was replaced for a lightweight one and the car always starts first time.

Engine :

The car has it's original engine having covered 132. 00 miles with documented top end work done at 100. 00 it pulls well in all gears with no smoke. oil changes were carried out regularly. The car has a stainless steel exhaust with mild steel heat exchangers that are in excellent condition.

Transmission :

The car has a 5 speed manual gearbox (G50 version which is more sought after) with a hydraulic clutch that is in good condition. Other transmission elements were checked and overhauled as necessary during its rebuild. Wheels are original Fuchs and in good condition.

Brakes :

The car pulls up sharply and in a straight line - the front brakes were completely overhauled including calipers during the rebuild. new pads and disks fitted at the front. Tyres are very good all round - fitted with ContiSports

The car has only been used in dry weather since it's rebuild and is up for sale as it doesn't get used enough now with other projects going on!

It has a folder full of receipts including all the MOT's back to 1998 and service receipts back to 1999. also included are all the details of the work carried out.
