1967 JAGUAR E TYPE (Series 1. 25) 2+2
This is a very rare Jaguar E type that you really cant look past. As less widely known. right at the end of Series 1 E type production. but prior to the transitional "Series 1½. a small number of Series 1 cars were produced with open headlights. These series one cars had their headlights modified by removing the covers and altering the scoops they sit in. These Series 1 headlights differ in several respects from those later used in the Series 1½ (or 1. 5). Exact production numbers of these later Series 1 open headlight cars are not precisely known. They were not produced until January 1967. and their production ended that same summer. with the Series 1. 5 production beginning in August 1967.
This E Type is a rare series 1. 25 or 1 1/4. And with the way E types were written off and left to rot and chopped up into roadsters there really cant be very many of these models left in the world. This is why this car is something that you cant pass up on. as it will only appreciate in value further and faster than a more common E Type this is all verified by Jaguar by emails that i have had with them.
We bought this car in 2014 from Gullwing motors in New York. It came better then described and since that time we have got it up to our standard and driving on the road. This is a US Import and is LHD. This E type we have for sale is a 2+2 Coupe. The 2+2 is the most practical of the E types. with its extra 9 inches in length. 2 rear seats for children but I have carried 2 adults in and very large boot room. It is truly an allrounder compared to the other models that have floors compared and is much easier getting in and out of. As Enzo Ferrari said the Jaguar E Type is the most beautiful car he had seen and we agree with him they are stunning to look at and the series 1 E Type is the best looking and most pure. The Exterior colour is regency red and the interior colour is black. so it is a great colour combination as well.
This car is Matching numbers & correct coloursas verified by its Heritage Certificate provided by jaguar. This is a fantastic rust and accident free body
There really is no work needed to be done to this car as we did it all in the last 2 years this work included
A New Interior. that includes top of the range leather for the Front and Rear Seats. Doors. Rear Hatch Panel. Console. Boot Boards and the rest of the trim was done as well. None of the cheap vinyl trim that you buy in the kits from overseas. the leather was custom fitted and double stitched so looks like original but is much better. Not to mention that new leather smell it has. It also has new fitted carpets that are the highest quality you can order. The Interior has had Dyna Mat professionally fitted and that reduces road noise and heat inside the cabin but also protect the floors and sills from any moisture that may eventually cause rust in the floor as was a common problem in the E Types. All The Gauges have been checked and are spot on. We have fitted green LED lights to them so that they are brighter but draw less energy and don't get hot. All the awesome looking toggle switches work perfectly and give the series 1 a much nicer look then the other 2 models. The smooth 3 Speed Borg Warner Automatic Transmission was rebuilt by JagDaim earlier this year and runs like a dream. This is also has the Bw stamped on the Chassis number which not all automatic models have. so only makes this car rarer and is matching numbers !!A larger Alternator was fitted to the car so it will charge at all times while driving as this was a common problem with the smaller original model on the E Types The Radiator was refurbished and fitted with a larger core and a extra thermo fan to make the car run cool even on the hottest days. This is something most people don't know is that most e type are susceptible to overheating which is a problem that we fixed. The car runs Evan Coolant which is not a water based coolant so it means that the boiling point is raised above the standard coolant that you would put in it. It also doesn't build up pressure so you can actually remove the radiator cap while running. also because its not water based there is no corrosion on the inlet manifold And it never has to be replaced !! New hoses were also fitted. A New Distributor and Electronic Ignition has been fitted. This mean no cleaning of the points which is a pain. It gives a stronger spark which means it improves fuel consumption and performance. The Water Pump is brand new and all new hoses have been fitted. The Triple SU Carburettors have all been fully rebuilt and tuned by professionals so they run perfectly and are not an issue. The Engine has been inspected and checked by us and professionals both saying it has perfect compression and is in great condition. It has been recently fully serviced. The engine was also taken out and painted when the transmission was being rebuilt. So it is in original and great condition. it runs perfectly. It is the matching numbers engine for the car. It has had the Front and Rear Brakes Calipers fully rebuilt all fitted with new brake lines by professionals. The discs on the front are new and are slotted and drilled to help with braking performance. the rear discs are the originals. nbsp;as they were fitted before we bought it but were never used so they are also brand new. The master cylinder and booster were also rebuilt with the calipers at a professional brake shop. New Wire Wheels have been fitted. They are chrome coated stainless steel spokes. this means that the wheels are stronger and much more rust resilient then the originals. New Tires including the spare have been fitted and have been filled with nitrogen. nitrogen runs cooler and is lighter the oxygen so improves performance. New Enamel Exhaust Manifold has been fitted. New Ball Joints and Tie Rod Ends have been done on the front end. New Shock Absorbers and Springs to both the front and the rear end have been replaced making the ride much nicer. The underside of the car has been CCoated In Stone Chip to protect the car from damage while driving on the roads. The Rear Hubs Have Been Rebuilt. they have all new bearings and seals in them. The Universal joints are also new. The Chrome Bumpers and other chrome trim on the car is original and is in good condition. The beautiful metallic regency red Paint on the car looks fantastic and we are commonly told how good it looks. But as this car is a driver not a trailer queen it has some chips on the paint work but none that really affect it much. The Body is dent free and is one of the best i have seen in original condition. Totally Rust Free - no rust in sight. + MORE
So overall you are getting a near perfect. original car that has had all the work done to it. what more can you ask for.
This car is currently club registered in the Ferrari Club and drives on events with them. It will come with a roadworthy. (It is club registered not fully registered. )
