This listing is for a 1958 Jaguar XK150. Its in British Racing Green and the original tan leather. Matching numbers. The car has just been imported from California. all taxes paid and ready to register to a new owner. I will help you with this. It is totally rust free throughout. Its a very original. unmolested car. Owned since 1988 by a renowned scientist until his passing this year. he was a jaguar enthusiast. Mechanically the car is great. it drives great. has good oil pressures. upon inspection underneath it has many new parts including many steering components and suspension. The chassis and underneath is immaculate and shows no signs of welding etc. The engine sounds wonderful and pulls well. clutch and gearbox is perfect and the brakes pull up nicely. Shows 25000 miles on the clock. could be genuine but dont know for sure. Ive had the car recommissioned by a jaguar specialist whos gone over the car as its been in storage for 3 years. Parts that need attention are generator (regulator is tested and fine and also a spare one comes with the car). water pump has a small weep when hot. Exhaust may want replacing (no leaks but looks scruffy) Car has new battery. Interior is all new and beautiful. this was retrimmed whilst under the care of the previous owner and they have done an exceptional job. the seats are in genuine leather front and back. new carpets. door cards. dash refurbished etc. Hood is in mohair and in excellent condition as is roof lining and matching tonneau cover. A quality and clearly expensive retrim job. Wheels are rare original with good tyres. wheels would benefit from a light refurb. Chrome work is generally very good. The bodywork is rust free and generally straight. good panel fit. few minor dinks but flat from the sun. Requires a respray. To turn this into a beautiful example would be a very easy project. mainly a good respray and a wheel refurb. Just a few other minor bits n bobs. Any questions please ring me on 07828250260. Im not a dealer just bought this car on a whim and already have a Healey 3000 to finish. To import this car now with the current exchange rate after Brexit would be much more than the car is listed for.
