Mini shorty with Cooper look

Excellent running costs and very cheap insurance. (kit car/classic) 
with wet weather gear.  
Possibly the only truly road legal shorty in the country?

This mini shorty has recently successfully completed the L2B run. (london to brighton). from Norfolk to London. London to brighton and then Brighton back to Norfolk without issue.

The car was Professionally built by a specialist company many years ago and was built for a1 mini/metro centre. The car was used for promotional work for a while and then put into storage.  I bought the car and got here back into shape and she regularly attends mini shows

I have loved owning this car and I have gone through and and serviced her thoroughly. I have replaced all that I found she needed including full clutch. brakes seals rubbers etc etc 
I cant stand an unreliable car and as this is my own I just replaced what ever I felt it needed. even a new radiator. water pump. fuse box etc etc just to be on the safe side.  

The paintwork was professionally carried out by the company that built the car and still looks so fresh you would think its only months old! Its smooth and shines so well. Its a charcoal grey with diamond multi colour metallic added so it shines through prisms of light in direct sun.  
The paint job alone would be well over a grand.  

No obvious rust. no obvious bubbling under the paint either. A very very clean and very well engineered car! 

No heres the good bit. Its been inspected by the DVLA and was given a Q reg. If you know your minis and modifications then you will know that with the new DVLA/VOSA laws this is a gold mine! its FULLY road legal! Not some back street bodge up sold on ebay for a few grand thats only going to fail an IVA and is in all aspects worthless!The V5 states that this is a rebuilt car.

I am only selling as I need the space to finish the BMW mini limo I have.  

This car with a few minor touches and a little extra bling could be a £6k car. Why? because its legit and correctly/very well built.  
Insurance value is currently £7k 

I am selling at a fair price to attract a fast sale only so no silly offers etc. This would make more at auction.  

The car comes complete with a nearly new tonneau cover made from high quality marine grade materials that cost £650 alone. the type you see on expensive boats etc.  
The seat has been re trimmed and its a lovely place to sit. Much more so than a normal mini as you have nice legroom in this.  

I have receipts for the parts changed and I have spent a small fortune. It never misses a beat and is the most fun I've ever had with my pants on!! this is a serious bucket list car.  

Now things you should know: 

Don't buy this if you are shy. Forget it. People love this car and flock to you at every petrol station going!
People take pictures and videos and generally fall over themselves to chat to you. (or at you lol) 

You get more attention than a £100k ferrari. Honest and Ive proved it at shows.  

Value your hair style? forget it. its windy and often smelly out on the road in this. There are heaters but you get the idea? oh and all the heater system has been overhauled with new matrix etc (I was planning on adding a fold away soft top for rainy weather use so fitted a heater in her). I have a contact who will happily make a hood for this and surprisingly not too expensive either.  

Its goes like the proverbial of a shovel from the line as it weighs about the same as a pack of benson and hedges but don't expect 100mph+ as its still a 998. It will however cruise nicely even fully laden at 65.  

This car is in exceptional condition but its not in concours or completely mint condition in all aspects. The engine isn't show painted. the underside is waxoyled instead of painted (I wanted it to last) and the dash and steering wheel could do with updating. Although I have added a cig lighter socket for sat navs :O) 
I have to leave something for the new owner to stamp his/her own identity on it right? 

This is a rare opportunity at sensible money. You could not build this at this spec yourself for less. and if you were to pay the labour to have one like this made then you would be broke!

You will not be allowed to strip the car for inspection however and bob from down the road isnt allowed to strip the vehicle either. This is a classified listing and as such you are welcomed to view and inspect the car and make your own mind up on condition. No guarantees on condition are made. This is still a 26 yr old mini and as such will require regular maintenance and tuning etcNo cheques. no bank transfers and no Nigerian goat herding princes either.
I do not know how to export cars and will not sell without the new owner viewing first.
