1956 356 Speedster "Super Wide Body" replica built in 2008 by Vintage Speedsters.

This Super Wide Body Speedster is affectionately known as "Black Betty" among other Speedster owners. It has a beautiful glossy black exterior with a black interior and top. It was factory built by Vintage Speedsters in December of 2008. so you know it was done right. This Speedster has only 10k miles and the exterior. paint. & interior of this car are in excellent. like new condition. The custom. professionally polished 17 inch wheels. with their powder coated black centers. shine like a mirror and are simply spectacular. The gold Porsche Carrera badges on the rear and dash and the Porsche emblem badge on the hood add the finishing touches that make the markings and lines of this Speedster one of a kind.

This beautiful Speedster is built on a 1973 VW pan and is registered in California as a 1973 VW. with no smog certification requirements. When comparing this Speedster with Speedsters from other manufacturers. pay very close attention to the quality of the build. Check that the doors. hood and trunk all fit smoothly and are aligned properly. with no gaps. Pay close attention to the flared fenders. the Vintage Super Wide Body flares are not the same as other flared Speedsters. 
The engine is a big 1915cc VW with dual Weber carbs. It starts every time with just a turn of the key. sounds great. pulls well and runs VERY strong. 
The Speedster has: 
Super wide body (Vintage Speedster flared fenders are not the same as flared Speedsters from other vendors - look closely). 
Black seats. door panels and dash trim.  Black top with matching side curtains.  Black carpet in both the interior and trunk.Momo steering wheel. 
Black Speedster embroidered mats. 
Porsche Carrera badges rear and dash. 
Porsche emblem badge on hood.  Front and rear Nerf bars. 1915cc Type 1 VW engine 4 speed manual 3:88 "Freeway Flyer" transmission (perfect for those long cruises to the coast or the mountains)
 Dual Weber carburetors
. Electric fuel pump
. Front disc brakes.
Custom 17 inch polished wheels with powder coated black centers.  

The Speedster is simply stunning. it turns heads and praise everywhere it goes and is a joy to drive. I have the Pink Slip and all you will need to do is buy the car. sign the title. and drive it. This vehicle is being sold "as-is" and where is. with no warranty. expressed or implied. Vehicle is available for an inspection prior to purchase and you are welcome to arrange one at your expense. There is normal wear on the carpet at drivers feet and some stitching that needs resewn on the side vents. both minor fixes I have not had time to address – because the car stays covered inside & I have rarely ever put the top on her.
