This car is being re-listed due to a time waster. whom after agreeing a good deal for this wonderful classic car (with a spare engine chucked into the deal) wanted 'the moon on a stick'. Sorry. cant do that.

When I was stationed at RAF Wethersfield (USAF 1965-1968) I owned a 1952 Armstrong Siddeley Whitley, pretty much identical to the one in this photo. It unfortunately had many thousands of miles and needed an engine rebuild, which I could not afford at the time. It had a good pre-select gearbox which never failed us, and even with the oil pressure seriously down it served us well until it was sold for parts. It is well within possibility that I could now afford this one, even with shipping to Alaska. The only real problem I ever had was with the exhaust system and a bit of concern with the so-called centrifugal braking system. If we ever get back to the UK I most certainly will be looking for one like this one. Thanks in advance.
