Here is a unique chance to buy one of the rarest classic American icons of the Sixties.

This is thought to be the only one in the UK. unless you know better!

This lovely old car with enormous fins has given me great fun over the summer at shows. events weddings etc.

I now find that as I have several (7) other classic cars that I want to find some other classics that are more fifties or earlier.

Everywhere I went in this exotic car people would stop. stare and take pictures of it. either with them standing by it or just because they have never seen one like it before.

Younger generations have only ever seen cars like this in the movies.

It is powered by a big block V8 which is around 7 litre with Automatic transmission worked by what was known in the sixties as "The Juke Box Dashboard"

It was called this because the dash was very similar to the push button juke box selectors of that era.

Everything about this car is big. brash and vulgar. so it is like Marmite. Love it or hate it!

I go so many kicks out of turning up at car shows. events for all the family. weddings etc etc.

Just to drive away with the lovely whisper quiet V8 engine doing hardly any work at all.

I cannot believe how very good it is on fuel. Every time I stop you get the usual idiot asking "How many miles to the Gallon Mister"???

Well that depends on how heavy your feet are. I think I was averaging around 18-20 driving carefully. Probably not a lot more than a family European saloon or RV.

If you need to ask MPG of this kind of car. you obviously need to go and buy a small Fiat or the like.

The body is in excellent order with a few historical marks and given that it is 55 years old I would say it is excellent.

The paintwork does shine up nice and looks good at 10 feet. Whoever painted it left a lot of orange peel in the finish. so if you became the owner of this wonderful old big finned monster. you might want to spend a bit of money to have it completely re-painted with a high standard finish.

The only thing that spoils the interior is the arm rests as the vinyl has died on then. but I have got 1 square metre of brown to more or less match to recover them. That is free to go with the car.

All  the white band tyres are well within the legal limit and would say less than half worn.

The chrome is excellent and most of the brightwork is also straight and good. (one small bit spoils the whole of it)

I was happy to just turn up at shows in it and within minutes there were crowds around the car and me asking all kinds of questions.

I am selling the car with a reserve and am open to part exchanges or swaps of a comparable price.

As there is a reserve it will be up to you to find how much it will sell for.

Please ask any questions you like. I do not want any Jags. or Mercedes back against this Icon. because I wouldn't know how to get rid of it!

The car has a long MOT (will find how long and add to this) and to insure it on Classic cost me only £115 for limited mileage of 1. 00 miles.

With the odometer reading of 66588. I have no reason to believe this isn't correct as the car has got the sweetest V8 engine I have ever driven and believe me that is a hell of a lot!

Good luck with the bidding.
