1965 AUSTIN HEALEY "BJ8" 3000 MK III CONVERTIBLE "THE REAL DEAL BIG HEALEY"

For your consideration from our private collection is a 1965 Austin Healey "BJ8" 3000 MK III Convertible that is just a blast to drive and show. Yes this is a true "Big Healey" as everyone calls it! Restored to original specs and a very honest car at a great buy! Please look at the photo of the vin number under the hood which proves what it is.

I am going to make this description as short as I can. Collectors know that these cars are still the "Big Money Healey's" and this car is certainly an awesome buy at my price. I am not a professional photographer and I wish my photos were better. Car presents its self very very well. I took these photos before I had the car buffed. waxed. cleaned. and detailed. Car is better in person than in my photos! I cannot get under this car to take photos of the bottom but it is clean and nice. It was undercoated years ago to keep the road noise down and not to hide anything.

This car runs. shifts. stops. nbsp;and drives as it should.  All drivetrain. interior. and suspension parts were removed and restored.  The original drivetrain was rebuilt a few years back.  This BJ8 has the electric overdrive transmission with standard 4 speed as it came. New Everfast convertible top and matching boot cover. It has Dayton wire wheels with Dunlap tires. New leather interior. carpet. and all chrome inside and out was either re-chromed or replaced with N. O. S. parts.  Carb's were rebuilt. new fuel pump. rebuilt shocks. new temp gauge. rebuilt tach and speedometer. ew wheel cylinders. and wiring. Has the new Tripod headlights. Lucas battery in the truck. and new Triplex glass with weather seals.

Painted in two-stage correct Ice Blue over Old English White Coves.  The paint on this car is very very nice. much better than driver quailty.  Just a great MK III that you can drive. show. and enjoy!

Sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied but it is exactly like my description. I reserve the right to close this auction at anytime for any reason.  This is a buy it now auction. If you hit the buy it now then the car is yours and the deal must be as the auction says. I will certainly take offers but again we all know this is a wonderful buy at the price I am asking.   C. P. I. guide book has high price at $85. 00. and I watched one sell in Feburary for 80 grand plus fees at auction. I am not hard to deal with and will try to help anyway I can. If you would like to come see the car that is great. This must be done before the auction ends.  So with that said first come. first pay. first owns it. You cannot bring a check and pickup the car. All funds must clear before car is moved. I cannot hold the car while you think about it. That is just not fair to real buyers. I will store this car in my secure lockup as long as needed.  I will help with your shipping arrangements always. This car is registered in my personal name here in Alabama and the buyer will get all documents when funds clear. I did not purchase this car new and I "do not" restore cars either. I purchased this car exactly like you see it. I will try to answer any questions you might have but I am not a mechanic. I just love to drive these old cars and have fun and this is a car you can have a blast with and not break the bank!
