BMW E30 320i Cabriolet

Offered for sale my stunning BMW E30 320i Cabriolet. 1989 Series 2 model with 5 speed manual gearbox.

Originally specification included Royal Blue Metallic paint with blue hood. Green tinted glass. Cloth Sports Seats. Electric Windows. Electric Mirrors. Central Locking. ABS and Check Control Panel etc.

Having bought the car in 2011 she has been subject to a comprehensive rebuild and is now an excellent example of this fast appreciating classic. The body work was completely stripped. remedial work carried out and then the car was professionally painted in her originally Royal Metallic Blue. The original headlights / indicators were replaced with smoked ones. she has new genuine BMW badges and rare BMW Motorsport door handles. The hood remains in excellent condition and works perfectly. the rear deck struts have been replaced with genuine BMW ones.

To complement the now stunning bodywork. she now sports a set of 16” Azev alloy wheels. These are 7x16 front (195/50/16 Michelin tyres with ~7mm tread) with dished 9x16 rears (215/40/16 Khumo with ~7mm tread). The suspension remains standard. so she could even have a set of standard BBS alloys fitted should you wish to maintain the ‘factory' look.

In addition to the work already carried out there has also been a complete strip/retrim of the interior. this is first class and included removal of all panels. including the dash! The BMW Recaro seats were fully stripped. all new foam made to replace any degraded items and the front / rear seats have been trimmed in cream Nappa leather. Further to this the door cards. centre console. arm-rests have also been trimmed in leather……many trimmers normally only use leather for the main face panels of seats etc. but it was insisted that leather should be used throughout. The dash was also fully trimmed in black Nappa leather and this includes detailed triple stitching in BMW Motorsport colours. this detail has also been extended to the gear-knob. gaiter and steering wheel. To finish off the interior. BMW emblems have been subtly stitched into the seat backs. and a new set of over-mats with M-Power logo's have been made.

Mechanically the car is in first class order. The M20B20 129bhp engine has had a comprehensive service to included new cambelt. water-pump. changing of all belts. plugs. filters and fluids etc. plus a new battery. The oil in the gearbox/rear dif have been changed and the car has received new disc/pads all round along with new brake lines. hoses and replacement of various bushes. linkages etc. Needless to say the car drives without fault. fires up readily and lets out a roarty rumble through her stainless exhaust system.

On taking the car for her first MOT after the rebuild the tester couldn't believe the condition of the car and she passed without any advisories. she now has 11months MOT and TAX until Nov 2013.

There has been a great deal of attention paid to this rebuild and as such corners have not been cut. I would anticipate the total outlay to date is circa £7. 00.   I am only selling her as I have another project and my wife has told me only one car can stay! Stunning examples such as this are becoming increasingly hard to find. she can be used purely as a show car or enjoyed with the roof up or down as a great everyday useable classic.

I am happy to answer any question regarding the car. viewings are welcome. but 'test pilot's' aren't welcome. I've invested too much time and money. so am looking at a genuine buyer.

The winner is required to pay a £200 deposit within 24hrs. The outstanding balance should be cash on collection and the car. plus all documentation will only be released once all funds are cleared.
