1978 Toyota Chinook for sale

I am selling my 1978 Toyota Chinook Camper RV.   Moving into an apartment and downsizing to a smaller car and. unfortunately. have to part with this great mini RV.   It's hard for me to part with. but I have to and would love it to go to the right person.   This baby is truly a classic and a gem of a find and you won't find one like this in the great condition it's in anywhere else.

 

The specs:


Clean title in hand

Registered in California

Passed smog in California

Classic and bullet proof Toyota 20R motor with 71. 00 original miles!

Rebuilt engine with less than 1K miles on it

            -Broken in

            -Had to rebuild the engine bc it had been sitting for so long

            -Runs great now

Brand new starter installed so it starts up quick every time

Brand new tires with less than 500 miles driven on them

            -Spare rim (no tire on it)

Upgraded from 4-speed manual transmission to a 5-speed (really nice to have to save gas on those long drives)

Extra leaf spring added to the rear axle (now a ¾ ton equivalent)

Incredible turning radius!

Great gas milage!

Full fiberglass frame in great shape (no holes or leaks)

Brand new $2. 00 A/C unit installed on roof (cools whole camper in 10 seconds!)

Brand new $1200 RV fridge installed.   Runs on DC or propane.

3 Burner stove

Water tank and water pump for the sink

Custom. heavy-duty cargo rack and pick rack assembly welded to the rear (with reflectors)

New. sturdy table. which turns into a full-sized bed

Original skylight was replaced with a brand new vent

No toilet. but I have a brand new portable potty never used. AA battery powered

Small TV monitor mounted above the fridge for your enjoyment (has HDMI hookup and remote)

Smaller bed above cab for sleeping children. animals. or a single adult (I used it for more storage)

Retractable side windows with screens

Back-up camera (installed. but not hooked up)

Lots of storage!

Can fit in a normal parking space (17' long)

Carbon-Monoxide monitor

Propane monitor

Alternate car battery for the interior lights

Rounded side mirrors (so helpful for backing up and changing lanes)

 

 

What I did under the hood:

 

Rebuilt engine (as stated) (Still under warranty)

New radiator and fan clutch

Resealed the axles and gaskets

New belts and hoses

New clutch

Replaced master cylinder

Air-conditioning and vents work great in pilot seats

New air filter
