Jaguar XJC 2 owners 35,139 miles genuine XJ Coupe

Up for auction is this remarkable Garage find Jaguar XJ Coupe 4. 2 showing only 35. 39 miles which I believe to be correct going by the history. lack of ware.

The history file confirms the 1st owner to be Hollywood actress Linsey Wagner (The Bionic Woman).  

The body and paint appear to be totally original and in very good shape. Obviously the paint is a little flat and has a few scratches which you would expect for the age. It has the original dark blue vinyl roof and the car has a Electric sun roof fitted by the original Jaguar dealer when new. The car appears to be completely rust free and shows no signs of accident damage anywhere.  

The interior of this XJC is also completely original. The seats are dull but would respond well to some leather cleaner and feed. The carpets are like new and original. The dash has no cracks on the wood or the dash top like so many do. All the gauges and switches look very good and sharp just as you would expect for a car much newer than this. Even the rubbers around the side windows are in good shape and are still supple which is amazing for the age of the car. This car has obviously been very well stored since 1987 when it appears to have been on the road last.  

Mechanically the car fired up when the fuel was drained from one tank and replaced with new gas. The oils pressure was good and no rattles from the engine. The exhaust does have a blow and the gas tanks will require cleaning along with the fuel lines as evidence of debris in the new fuel pump is already present. I did drive the car around my parking lot and the brakes worked and the transmission shifted smoothly with no clunking noises. The tires are completely perished and will need replacing. the exhaust will need repairing or replacing for sure. The car will require a complete mechanical inspection and any other defects rectified as well as a service before taking this great car back on the road.

The car comes with it original service wallet. hand book and stamped up service been which is extremely rare for a car this age. It has a new set of California 80's style licence plates still in the envelope with a 87 licence tag.

If you are looking for an original XJC that requires merely a mechanical overhaul then this has to be the best opportunity to own a very genuine special Jaguar XJC
