1969 Mk1 Ford Escort with full S2000 running gear! A fast and modern classic!!

If you are looking at this you will know what this is.
this car is what I think the best of both worlds and that's why I commissioned it. the ultimate retro look of a 1969 escort with full modern Honda s2000 running gear that you can drive every day. digital dash etc. how many Mk1 escorts do you know that handle this well and do over 140mph and can be flicked sideways into every roundabout!!!
No expense was spared in the 2 years of building her over 8 weeks of fabrication and 5 weeks of finishing touches and wiring etc went into her. custom made steel rear tubs. sills and inner wings as per some pics ( I have loads more pics if required) It is proper steel bubble arches on her. The car is stronger than a mark 1  escort ever was. and is quicker than a s2000 ever was due to being able to get rid of the roof motors etc. other than the listed above all mechanical parts and chassis are Honda s2000 so very easy to service etc. only the outer body is a mk1 Escort.   It drives just like an escort as wheel base is the same and the Honda has a better more modern chassis with an Limited slip differential as standard. great suspension and an awesome power plant
There is a Spa digital shift light steering wheel with snap off boss in her. also brand new corbeau Alcantara seats . The Dash is flocked. full carbon interior and nicely carpeted. Carbon Bumpers the lot.
 All the best of wiring and terminals were used in extending the S2000 loom to the mk1 escort lights etc.  I have spent in excess of 20. 00 pounds on her and that's no joke.  
All New Brakes were fitted. even a a small varley race battery was utilised. I hope the pics show the attention to detail put into her.
Everything works as it should as its all Honda  which is known for Reliability and build quality. all honda chassis with its  switch gear. LSD. close ratio gearbox and canister suspension and 250HP engine at 9000rpm etc etc. First MOT'd in June I have done a flawless 700 miles in it and loved every minute. It is only for sale as I have 2 other mark 2 escorts and one needs finished including needing a 12k sequential gearbox so my ford escort addiction is getting a little out of hand!
It comes with 2 sets of 17inch wheels the speedline wheels have brand new tyres on and the other set has done very little
This car was MOT'd as the 1969 Mk1 Escort shell that was used. and therefore is tax exempt and classis insurance of £120 a year applies!

There is a new roof lining that comes with it as I never felt  the need to fit it. and a new boot lock. otherwise she is on the key. ready to go. Couple little areas of paint work like the door handles ( being 1969 and rare to buy) they could do with a rub down and paint. otherwise a very honest useable machine!
