FORMULA FORD 1600 RACE CAR ENGINE 

 This engine was built to Formula Ford spec by Component Engineering of Burnley Lancashire.  
> The block as been chemically cleaned and crack tested and the main line as been checked for main bearing clearance 
> The block has new main bearings 
> And also new big end bearings.
> New thrust bearings 
> Which as all been plastagage and etched in for correct fitting and journal clearance 
> The crank has been matched and balanced to the rods . new Pistons have been matched to rods . new re- lined cylinder bores have been taken back to standard 
> The bores have been matched to the new Pistons for correct clearance and compression.
> Basically the bottom end as been fully balanced and matched out .
> The engine has had new cam followers . ew cam sprocket with new crank sprocket and new tension pad and timing chain and new front cover gaskets and back cover gasket and seals and new sump gasket which is a dry sump pan and dry sump oil pump which has been reconditioned with oil rotaries 
> Pump work like new . it has correct water pump .
> And new cylinder head gasket. /span>
> The cylinder head has been freshly skimmed . with new seats re-cut at a 45 degree angle 
> New valves have been fitted inlet valves 39. 5mm
> Exhaust valves 34mm
> Sky racing ford springs with new shims 
> The inlet manifold face the ports do not exceed 36. 12mm
> The exhaust face ports do not exceed 29. 41mm
> The inlet ports have been ported to a dualet shape port .  
> Exhaust ports opened up on throat . ​

Engine comes as shown in the pictures and is available for inspection by apointment call 01254 887222 to arrange.  

 

 

 

This is obviously a very heavy item but we can arrange delivery by tail lift truck on a pallet . price for this service start from £60 which covers most of England and Wales but London ( due to emmision etc. charges ) and outlaying areas will be more. for definate price please send your full post code.
