Super hot one of a kind X Flow Turbo charged Escort

I imported this jaw-dropping RHD car from South Africa back in late 2014. where it had already been a magazine featured car in “Max My Ride” and also a well known show drag and drift car out there. The chassis on this car is undoubtedly one of the best around. It is like brand new in all the places where they go even by South Africa standards. even under the dash. in the boot. doors and rear quarters this car is completely rust free; it is the best example I have ever seen. I am only selling it as I am collecting cars like Kittens and I have another car due out of restoration in the next 6 months. and can only keep one as the work on them both has gone massively over budget.

The previous owner owned a machine shop. so a lot of parts were custom fabricated by him making it a truly one of a kind car. It has had 1. 00s of hours spent on it. and I have literally been pouring money on it since I have owned it turning it into a sympathetic yet modern recreation of a 1600 RS.

Small bits to do & Restoration snags

As you can see it is a one of a kind and extremely nice escort. the previous owner and myself have extensively refurbished it inside and out over the years. that being said the car has been driven. showed and used on the track so it shows a little minor wear in a few places. I am a very honest guy so I am listing every little blemish. bug. or restoration snag I know of here.  They are all minor but my conscience will not allow me to list it for sale unless everything is perfect or without making people aware.

·       Whilst I always felt the paintwork was far to nice to need anything doing to it. it should be noted it was done a good few years ago (maybe 7 or 8). There are a few small areas that now have the odd mark. stone chip or light surface scratch on them. as you can see the car looks lovely but it's not just popped out the spray shop.  A bit under the bonnet might need doing as there was a historic brake fluid leak and the new paint reacted a bit.

·       Down a bit of the chrome window trim where the fixture holes are and around the Aluminium inserts in the front panel the water has got caught every time it has been washed and a few small areas of paint are starting to lift (but you cant see them in the pictures. and would probably miss them if you viewed the car. but I wanted to point them out as I know the car)

·       Some of the gauges don't work properly although I have a spare set I will include with the car.

·       The gear stick rattles when you give it some beans and don't have your hand on it. This has happened since it was taken out and reconditioned so I don't think it's anything major.  

·       If you slam the doors. the windows drop a couple of mm (like most of these cars)

·       It has fixed seat belts instead of inertia ones. I personally would update them. the car is FAR to quick for these old belts!.  

If I were keeping the car and was going to show it seriously I would probably address the few minor paintwork points above. I did think about doing them prior to selling the car but they are just to minor at the moment to warrant doing but I wanted to make any purchasers aware.
