Chevrolet: Impala

Here is an extremely rare 1964 Chev Impala wagon with a documented M20 4 speed. being 1 of 16 ever built according to Impala Association.   In the 12 years I have owned this car. nbsp; I have only seen a couple of 1964 Chev 4 speed wagons for sale. one was a rusted out basket case which got bid up to $6500. the other was an original wagon with a starting price of $70. 00.

Along with the original M20 4 speed. this car runs a professionally rebuilt (less than 2000 miles) 1973 454 motor with 781 heads. Edelbrock performer manifold. new Edelbrock 750 CFM carb. redone original rad (4 core). new starter. brakes. wheel cylinders. etc.   Has 2 1/2 inch exhaust with dyno-max mufflers. original 342 rear end.

I got an email from a previous owner and he indicated original 327 L30 4 barrel was scrapped in 1991.

The car was sold new in Florida and has spent the last 28 years in Canada.

The car comes with a build sheet verifying it is a factory 4 speed car including the options of power steering. power brakes. power rear window (works from key and switch on dash). radio (not hooked up). factory tach and back-up lights (car has covers only).   Also comes with owners manual.   The car has 1964 vintage dealer installed air conditioning which is not hooked up but all the parts to hookup come with car.   

The paint on the car is approximately 18 years old (ppg base/clear) and still shines nicely.   Car has been garaged since repainted.   When car repainted and rust repair done some bondo was used in rear quarters and doors.   No rust has reappeared since done.   I have a rust free set of front doors that go with car should this ever be an issue.   A couple of cracks (no peeling) have appeared in the roof since repainted.   The back bumper was rechromed. front is original.   All chrome and glass is in excellent condition.   All lights. horn. nbsp;heater. wipers. gauges. signals. tach etc work fine.   Original 14 inch hubcaps go with car.

The interior is original with a new headliner professionally installed and a recovered dash.   Six period correct seat belts were installed (originally only came with front seat belts).   The carpet on the front drivers side is worn. but covered with a new set of 1964 Impala factory floor mats.   There is a small split on drivers seat. rest of seats in very good condition.   The weather stripping is worn in a few places but a complete set of new weather stripping for all 4 doors and tailgate go with car.   

Car is located near Lethbridge. Alberta. Canada (180 miles north of Great Falls. MT and only 60 miles from Sweetgrass. MT border crossing).   Importing to US from Canada is not a problem and I will assist with shipping where I can.
