We are privileged to offer to the market this restored & highly desirable Alfa Romeo Giulia GT 1300 Junior Scalino ‘Stepnose'  (A/R 105-30). a 1967 model being a genuine LHD Italian home market example & retaining it's 1290cc motor.

This is a beautifully restored example in the most popular colour scheme (AR 501). being originally registered in Roma in 1967 & has just freshly arrived from Moricone. which is a commune in the City of Rome. Located in the region of Latium about 35 KMs' north east of central Rome. so it's fair to say it has never ventured far!

We purchased it from a fellow classic enthusiast (Gualtiero) whom had the painstaking restoration undertaken during 2014.

The owner Gualtiero & his truly impressive GT Junior have been known to my buyer (who is ex Marenello) for quite some time. and the car was recently seen at local Alfa shows in the region. When Gualtiero decided to part with his beloved junior (well he is 79 years old as I write this advert!). we were luckily contacted by him as well as a prestige dealer in central Roma.  A deal was hastily struck. prior to a Central Roma dealer finding a good home for it first!

The vehicle underwent a glass out. engine out full professional repaint to concours standard in 2014 by an Alfa Romeo specialist in Roma which we are told cost in excess of 14. 00 Euros. The engine & gear box were also overhauled at this time prior to being placed back in the vehicle. The underside was partly painted in AR 501 as were the wheel arches. All lights were refurbished; rubber items were replaced as required. The bumpers & brackets were refinished along with the wing mirror & a part new exhaust fitted. The  original factory steel wheels were refurbished & the car was fully painted in the beautiful shade of rosso alfa AR 501 using high quality PPG paint that we also use in our paint shop. which is the most popular colour & suits the beautiful lines of the Junior.

The car stands up incredibly well indeed. a real testament to the quality of the work & materials used. The attention to detail shows in every aspect of the cars presentation including the underside. door shuts. luggage compartment & the fully detailed engine bay. Along with the driving experience. the time & expense has certainly paid dividends. this was never an average Junior.

The motor was overhauled whilst out of the vehicle for painting using genuine Alfa parts & we are told totalling 1. 50 Euros. The Weber carbs were also expertly overhauled at this time & present as such. The interior was left untouched apart from the head lining being professionally refinished & appears factory original & correct. The interior being finished in nero. with matching nero piped red carpets.

Gualtiero has only used this stunning example sparingly since the completion of the restoration to attend club & family events. he has however kept the car. serviced & MOT'd.

It retains the 4 cylinder 1290cc engine with twin Weber carbs & is showing a mileage of only 59. 48 km's. with only minimal mileage since restoration.

We have been meticulous in our further preparation prior to offering this exceptional example to the market by undertaking the following works here in our workshop:

Supplied & fitted 4 new tyres as the original Michelins had signs of slight ageing. We conducted a full engine service including Golden Lodge plugs. engine oil & filter. air filter. coolant change along with a full tune. just to be sure! 

We also fully detailed the vehicle including a machine polish of the glorious paintwork & fresh MOT to complete. Undertook a detailed interior deep clean. our resident trimmer cleaned the head lining. we fitted new chrome wiper blades. front number plate holder. a new premium Bosch battery was fitted & filled the fuel tank with £35 of super unleaded. This stunning car is ready to show or just use on a daily basis. It would make you proud in either circumstance…

The vehicle comes with a history file & contains: Italian log book.  Parts invoices. Fresh current UK MOT. UK NOVA certificate. Owners hand book. Photos showing car in Italy & on arrival to our shores.
