Seller's notes: wireing to lights needs finishing of, have parts, just not had/will have time to sort out. slight oil leak from power steering valve. brakes all seem very good, but would advise checking over. although I have now managed to get it road registerd, I haven't driven it on the road, or water! so would recommend having it transported.

I have very reluctantly got to part with my very rare brdm 2 r1a. sadly I need a more practical vehicle. so my baby's got to go.

this is probably the only r1a model in the uk. this is the vehicle that the main tank/infantry commander would be in. directing the two forces. the vehicle still has all its original radio equiptment fitted. & it all still works!

I have done a lot of work to the vehicle. including a full & I mean full engine service. I have fitted a new carburettor. complete new distributor. new water pump. new ht leads/ngk plugs. new belts. & replaced any oil/water/air hoses that didn't look up to the job.

the gearbox was fully rebuilt before I bought it last year. both front tyres are brand new. & both rears are hardly worn.

I have started to convert the lights. front headlights are now halogen units. both front side/indicator lights are led units. I have new rear led light units. but they arnt fitted yet. but will obviously come with the vehicle. also with the vehicle will be various spares that I have collected.

the vehicle will also come with a full set of pioneer tools. toweing cable reel. field telephone cable reel. plus the driver & commander's night vision devices. rare on there own! as I have mentioned all three radios are still fitted. along with the gyro navigation system. again that all works. I have also had a dumy kpm barrel made (turret main gun) & this to is included.

as I have mentioned brdm 2 are rare in the uk. but I believe this is the only r1a model. so is a very intresting. & fun vehicle to have. & will certainly draw the crowds at shows.

the vehicle is in very good conditione. only requiring minor finishing of. when it's all done it will be a hoot to drive. & swim. yes it's fully amphibious as well! a armoured car. & boat all in one vehicle!

vehicle is located 10 minutes from junction 19/20 m25. near Watford. Hertfordshire. you can give her a spin around my fields. serious enquirys only please. would prefer cash on collection. or bacs.

Actually, I'm not a buyer, I'm a owner of identical version , located in Poland. You're quite lucky, it's really a rare version, in good condition. Can you send me some more pictures of equipment installed inside, as well as cables routes, as mine is demilitarised in quite drastical way, with cables cut and electronic equipment removed
