1988 Chevrolet Corvette C4 L98 Coupe Auto with original removable Glass Top

I'll start with the bad bits: I am being extremely detailed here as there aren't many;

      1)      The rev-counter is a little dim on the electronic display

2)      There is a stone chip about the size of a 50p next to the front number plate and a small scratch on the lower B-pillar behind the drivers door

3)      The passengers door card inner weather seal is little worn…. That's it.

4)      Upper roof rubbers above the windscreen could do with a change for aesthetic purposes – and no the car doesn't leak anywhere!

All electrics work very well including the driver's display. newly re-gassed Air Conditioning. the electrical adjustable seats and lumbar supports. CD player and multichanger. electric windows and light obviously!

Her paint work is a very rare rich metallic Burgundy/Bronze kind of colour (original obviously) which changes colour in certain lights. and apart from the afore-mentioned front stone chip and scratch. is in immaculate condition and has ALWAYS been wax polished once a month and has either been kept garaged or under a fitted weather-proof cover – which will come with the car! She has her original tinted glass removal roof which stows in the boot giving you the top down driving that this car was built for. The body is all fibre glass so there is NO rust and No dents on cracks anywhere!

Her engine is her original L98 350cubic inch (5. 7litre) petrol V8 with auto trans. The engine starts first time – EVERY TIME! Sounds fantastic with no valve wear. knocks bangs or leaks. She's covered 93. 00 miles and has been regularly serviced and maintained regardless of cost. She has a free-flowing induction system and a “Stinger” straight through Stainless Steel exhaust with new catalytic converters and mufflers – which is quiet and peaceful when idling of low revs – but will certainly put a smile on your face when you open the taps! She has a proven 260hp. which is ample for our roads!

She has. from the factory. been fitted with sports package LT1 front suspension with Blistein shock absorbers which give a forgiving ride over bumps but has virtually no body-roll in the corners! She has very recently had a new vacuum Brake-Booster. rear disks and pads and front pads installed so she stops as well as she goes!

The interior is a lovely Tan/Sable colour on the Vinyl seats. door panels and carpet. accompanied by Mock-Maple wood panels around the dash and doors. This was a rare and eye-catching choice and it's a colour that you cannot buy anymore. The seats are a little worn. but do not spoil car at all and are extremely presentable.

This car has covered only 6000 documented miles in 8 years. and has been very well maintained which is evident in her condition of the car. She has been used at local shows. at weddings. and the occasional Sunday drive down the coast. Although not been driven hard or far – she is more than capable. and extremely useful. for everyday motoring. Around town she returns around 20mpg. and around 35-40mpg on the motorway. Her MOT didn't run out until the end of July this year – but have today got her MOT'd again anyway. so this now doesn't expire until end of July 2014. She flew through with only a small exhaust leak round one of rear boxes which I have had fixed.

She comes with brand new rear Falken tyres and the fronts are Cooper-Sports which are two years old with over 6mm tread. so basically unworn. She still has her bespoke to 1988 "Cuisinart Wheels" in excellent. un-refurbished condition. Only the near-side rear has light curb marks. the other 3 are near perfect.

Tax is £240 per year (which has run out but I am about to put a fresh 6months on for the new owner). I insure her on a classic car insurance policy for £95 per year – so even financially this car does make sense!

 Reason for sale – am due to married in February next year. so I'm afraid my beloved Vette' has to go and make someone else as happy as me in the next journey of her life.

The Price is fair. although will consider close offers.
