1980 Ford Escort RS 2000 Mk2 - original 82,000 - one owner for 28 years for sale

Well - my much loved RS2000 Mk2 has to go after 28 years!  I bought this car in July 1985!!! 
It is a very very genuine car with every bill and MOT since about 1983 and I have kept each tax disc and record of the work I have completed since 1985.
The mileage is just over 82. 00. When I bought it there was 50. 00 on the clock.  So 32000 in 28 years.  I have always garaged the car in dry location and it even has it own red tailored Pajama Car Cover.
In 1996 the rust was starting to appear in the usual places and I had extensive work done on the floor and wings with genuine parts and no expensive spared.  New RS2000 Ford made wings. new sills. rear inner and outer arches. spare wheel floor and tank floor. Inner wing rails and valance. Photos of the work are available.  I then pumped it with Waxoyl and ensured it never went out in the winter or rain if I could help it!
The only Mods are as follows.
Genuine Group One Ford vented discs and Group One calipers (Burton supplied)
K & N filter RS2000 Alloy
High level brake lights were already installed when I bought it.
Rear Bilstein dampers (Yellow and Blue - road)
1980s Sharp stereo
Other replacement parts
Petrol tank changed last year as old one had rusted at bottomNew CIBIE headlamps - genuine parts  (Three)New Clutch. clutch bearing and cable (FORD PART at 70. 00)Front struts with genuine Ford parts (1985)Complete new braking system and parts.  discs. calipers. pipes. rear lines. new drums. shoes and rear wheel cylinders - brake in nice straight line. Where are the not so good points?Near-side door paint bubble right at bottomVarious minor dents. one on front NS wing. minor bump on roof and bubble on OS rear quarter panel.  Puffs a little oil on start up after sitting for few weeks (valve guide seals?)  BUT it has done this for 20 years but hardly burns any oil and runs clean on the road.  The back lights for the speedo sometimes go off.


I am a genuine RS owners club member (low thousands membership number)  since July 1985 and know these cars backwards.  I really don't want to sell but I hardly use the car and I want a genuine RS fan to use this car and even getting to concours.  
I know there are a great deal of tyre kickers out there and I have been an Ebayer since 2005 - so only bid if you can really pay and serious potential buyers can arrange a viewing.  Use the message facility to ask any questions - THERE IS NO CASH NOW SALE - I will let the auction run its course but the VEHICLE IS FOR SALE ELSEWHERE so bid early.
This car will get a great deal of interest - There  are now very very few of the 10. 00 made left or in such original condition.
This is NOT a 1300 FORD  Popular conversion or many of those fake RSs  BUT an original Saarlouis RS2000 Custom with GCAT build plates Sept 1979 and register UK in Jan 1980
