1956 Lincoln Other Premiere All-Original New Interior Chrome

 

You are bidding on a Beautiful and RARE. 1956 Lincoln Premiere 4-door sedan. This is a great. all-original Premiere with a partial ongoing restoration by the current owner. This Lincoln is super straight. very clean and drives like you're floating in luxury. The original REBUILT 368ci “Y” block runs beautifully and the Turbodrive automatic transmission just moves you right along. This car is in great shape for being mostly original with black repaint. redone leather interior and most of the chrome and brite work redone! Most items on the car are in working condition. The owner has spent many. many thousands in repairs and improvements on this gorgeous car. All the major components work like the power windows. power seat. power antenna. dash gauges. lights. radio and horn. She is very reliable and the owner drives it regularly to long-distance car shows without incidents. This Lincoln has such a great look and presence that draws people's attention! The detail and styling of the car are just incredible.

This Lincoln is mostly-original as it was born from the factory. The owner has spent considerable investment to restore the pieces instead of finding replacements to keep her original as possible. The body is all-original along with the glass. moldings and drivetrain. Owner took good care of this car and spent the money to repair the systems that did not work. Most things do work but there are a few things will still need servicing by the new owner.

This Lincoln Premiere is equipped with Power Steering. Power Brakes. Power Windows. Power Seat. Power Antenna and Leather Interior.

This is a rare classic car with a reserve to protect some of its value. If the reserve is not met we will work with the high bidder to complete the sale. Bid retractions are not accepted. Retracting your bid for an incorrect amount without entering a corrected amount is a clear attempt to reveal the Reserve as well as a violation of eBay policy. We permanently block bidders who violate this policy and also report the violation to eBay.

The Body is in great condition for its age and being enjoyed and driven over the last 60 years. All of the body panels appear to be the original ones that it was born with. The body is nice and straight and has been repainted some time in its past to the current rich black enamel you see now. There are no major dings or dents on the body. The glossy paint is in nice. shiny condition with no fading or peeling areas. This is an older repaint and the car has been driven and used and there are some flaws… a few minor chips here and there. some dry paint areas on the lower driver side rocker. some pinholes on the passenger side rocker panel by the front fender and one small area that is starting to show evidence of rust bubbling on the lower front driver's fender. These are all pictured. It is still very respectable. Some detailing to the exterior would probably clean up some of the flaws and imperfections. Most of the weatherstrippings have been replaced and some are still original and in fair-to-good condition. All of the glass is in good condition along with the weatherstripping seals for them. The only areas to note are…very top right of windshield there is a chip and passenger vent window has some delamination occurring as pictured. Other than that. the glass is clear with no scratches. wipes marks and is pretty much crystal clear.

Chrome and brite-work are original to the car. Bumpers are nice and straight and have been rechromed. Most of all the chrome trim has been rechromed except for a couple of rear door window pieces. The stainless pieces have been repolished. Most of the gold/brass-colored moldings look to be original and in good condition with good coloring and no pitting. Headlight bezels look nice and shiny. Grille looks to be in good shape. Door handles and mirrors do not show any pitting and are in nice condition. Mirrors are not original pieces but the owner has original the original mirrors and they will go with the car.

The Interior is all-original for the most part except for the newer leather material throughout ( seats. panels. headliner etc. ) Seats and door panels are in very nice condition with no rips. tears or wear. Headliner and package tray are very nice. Carpeting and other interior pieces are nice. The dash and dash pad are in great condition with no issues. Steering wheel is in excellent condition with no cracks. Most of the interior chrome pieces are the original pieces that have not been restored but are in nice condition. Overall the interior is very beautiful. not perfect. but some detailing of the interior will make it more presentable. There are a lot of spots and smudges on the seats that will need to be addressed to bring out its full beauty. All of the power windows work along with the manually-operated front and back vent windows. Most everything on the dash works… gauges. dash lights (brake. E-brake GEN etc). horn. headlights. directionals. radio. clock and power antenna. All the interior courtesy lights work. All doors. windows. trunk and hood operate as they should. The items not working include…speedometer (just stopped working over the winter). blower motor (was not hooked in the engine compartment but does work). and wipers (looks like a replacement wiper motor. not sure why it doesn't work. think the switch might be the problem).

Drivetrain appears to be original 368ci “Y” block and Turbodrive transmission which both operate as they should with no major issues or problems. The motor was rebuilt approximately 600 miles ago by the owner. a meticulous high-end tool & die maker. He did the heads (including stainless steel valves). bearings. rings. pistons. lifters. timing chain. water pump and oil pump. No excessive leaks but does leak a small amount from several areas at the beginning of spring until the car has been driven and the gaskets seal back up. The car is an excellent driver. The motor runs great. idles and drives without issues and makes no noises or smoke. Has plenty of power. Transmission shifts as it should. Brakes are in good condition. Steers and brakes the way it should. Owner serviced all of the components as needed.

The Undercarriage is in beautiful. solid rust-free condition. Frame is nice and solid. Floors look to be original with only one small (approximately 8” x 8”) patch on the passenger-side floorboard. Floors have factory undercoating on them. Do not see any evidence of structural damage. rust issues or any major repairs. All suspension pieces look in good condition. New stainless dual exhaust recently installed along with new snorkel tips. New whitewall tires.

A list of the new parts include: new suspension. new ignition system. master brake cylinder and booster rebuilt.

All-new correct replacement trunk liners have been installed. Also factory jack and spare tire are present.

Car comes with 1 set of factory keys and clear Ohio title showing 36. 99 ACTUAL miles from 2005. The odometer shows approximately 39. 75 miles but is not working.
