1972 Citroen 2CV Truckette - registered daily driver for sale

 This 2CV truckette is a three-season daily driver and has a current New York registration and inspection. It has been a regular at the annual Citroen Rendezvous in Saratoga Springs. NY for several years.

Every winter it has been put into dry. clean storage and taken out in the spring only when the roads were clear of salt.

The original 435cc engine was replaced with a 602cc unit by a previous owner. The engine is a strong runner. accelerating well (for a 2CV) and propelling the little truck up to 105 kmh.

This truckette is quite a capable little machine. It is shown on video pulling a restored vintage camping trailer at the Rendezvous in 2011: Truckette pulling trailer

We work with Dave Burnham at his Citroen shop. so this 2CV has had expert attention. Last fall we replaced the clutch (clutch disc. pressure plate. release and pilot bearings). adjusted the valves. replaced the transmission mount. and adjusted the brakes (they do squeak like all 2CV drum brakes). There is no radio and the windshield sprayers are not functioning. but other than that everything works. even the interior lamp. The photos show the cosmetic challenges -  some rusty areas. differences in paint color. and the suitably utilitarian interior.

After six years of enjoyment we have found that the truckette's frame is getting rusty and will need attention in the foreseeable future. We have an overload of cars already. and it is time for this one to find a new happy home.

The mileage at time of sale might be slightly higher than what is shown. as we still use the truckette for occasional errands.

This "fourgonette" (little truck) would make an eye-catching advertisement for a bakery. restaurant. or other French-themed business. You could paint it with your company graphics. and expect a lot of attention!

A few procedural notes:

We have no title for this vehicle. because New York does not issue titles for cars made before 1973. eBay no longer offers an "other" option for the title. so we had to check "clear". The truckette will come with a transferable New York registration and a bill of sale.
