1978 Lancia Montecarlo Spider

Pinninfarina designed 1978 Lancia Montecarlo Spider (last of first series).

Well known club car on full NSW registration till end of March 2016.

Australian compliance plate. owned since 1989.

Original right hand drive and 81. 00 MILES. Colour Celeste.

Spacious original Lusso interior (special factory order fabric insert seats).

All maintenance as scheduled (belts. tc) carried out by Lancia specialists.

Work completed over the years includes; brakes to series two specifications. big valve head with hardened valve seats (98 octane unleaded fuel used). lightened flywheel. new electric fuel pump. new radiator. new clutch slave cylinder and many other items as required.  Stainless steel exhaust (original mild steel exhaust included in sale). near new tyres (less than 1000kms). included are the original wheels fitted with additional set of tyres. As with any Lancia of this vintage there are some corrosion blemishes starting to appear. but are manageable.  

Vehicle has participated in many Castlemaine and Auto Italia events. If you've attended. you may have seen this car there.  

Currently have too many cars and bikes. and the Montecarlo is not getting used so much these days.

Which is a pity and why I've decided to sell as it enjoys being driven on a more regular basis.

Having said that. it has been a real pleasure to own over the last 26 years.

It is not a new car. but a vehicle that has been used and well maintained. It is a car from a different era. and drives accordingly. Still lots of fun. having that rawness and driver appeal with distinctive Italian styling to keep you intrigued to discover more. The spider roof is simplicity itself. and transforms the car when open.

As to be expected this Lancia is advertised elsewhere and I reserve the right to withdraw from auction at anytime. Buyer agrees to pay $1000 non refundable bank deposit once auction has finished (within 24 hours). Balance to be paid within one week (7 days) from completion of auction. You are bidding to own this classic Lancia. not to view. As stated. viewing is encouraged prior to bidding. not as a by-product of your successful bid. PayPal only for deposit. If you decide to use PayPal you also agree to pay any and all of the PayPal fees. This is pick up only from Sydney metro area. Vehicle will not be signed over or able to be picked up until all monies have been cleared.   

I will accommodate interstate buyers with assistance. but any transport is the buyers sole responsibility to organise and pay prior to pick up.
As a side note. in Europe these are the next Lancias starting to move in price.
