1960 Chrysler 300 F Hard Top Coupe- 413 Wedge- Cross Ram- 1 of 964

1960 marked the 6th year for Chrysler letter cars and they featured an all new Exner design. In 1959 the 392 Hemi was replaced with the 413 Wedge which produced 385 HP and a whopping 495 lbs of tourque. They produced a total of 964 Hard Top Coupes and 248 Convertibles making this a very desirable and collectible letter car.

This particular car was purchased by the current owners out of Arizona approx. 10 years ago. The previous owner began restoaration on the car but ran out of funds about half way through and was sold to the current owners. Once they received the car they had the 413 Wedge professionally rebuilt and also had the Gary Goers Beige leather interior installed and finished up any other odds and end that needed to be tended to. Current Owners are members of the 300 Club and have owned quite a few of these rare letter cars over the years and they are all high quality and correct.

Passengers were treated to an interior with four individual. leather-covered. contoured bucket seats with front chairs that swivel for easy access. A full-length center console included armrests. storage compartments. power window controls. an ashtray. and a large tachometer. The instrument panel featured “Astra-dome” three-dimensional styling. in which a 150 mph speedometer was protected by a “Panelescent”-lighted globe. all sitting above an array of futuristic buttons and switches.

Under the 300F’s hood lay a standard 413-cubic inch V-8 hooked to a three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.   Feeding the beast was Chrysler’s all-new Ram Induction system that positioned a pair of Carter four-barrel carbs 30 inches away from their targeted combustion chambers. The “runners” that separated carbs from cylinders used sonic wave frequencies to compress the air-fuel mixture for greater power in the engine’s mid-range. where most drivers want some extra oomph for passing or merging with traffic.
