This car comes with a very nice history file. including many old MOT's and Full Service History to warrant the extremely low mileage.
Within the history file of this one owner vehicle. is even the Ford letter detailing the recall for a tie bar bracket safety check dated 20. 7. 83.

A very large amount of receipts. including servicing receipts and various small parts throughout the years.

The most recent service includes a new exhaust system. battery. Strip and rebuild of the carburettor. Oil and Oil filter. Spark plugs. rocker cover gasket and a fan sender switch.
All original booklets are with the car. including the stamped service booklet and also letters from Ford to the only keeper.

You could not want for a better history file.


Body & Paintwork

How often do you see a MK1 Fiesta XR2. in 100% original paint. and without defect?

Completely corrosion free. from top to bottom and still a fantastic shine throughout.
All original decals are still fitted to the car. and it really is very difficult to find fault with the bodywork.
Not even so much as a stonechip!

All window rubbers are superb. none of them have gone hard or cracked. mainly thanks to being stored in darkness with all windows covered and then a cover over the car. and also being kept in heated storage has ensured that the underside is still superb.

Original stickers and components are on all underside components. with no signs of any corrosion.

All glass is unmarked. and all badges/lights and trims are simply superb.


Interior & Trim

Again. just as the exterior. the interior is in ‘perfect' condition.

The seats are without any signs of wear. and are still bright in colour with no fading.
Headlining is unmarked and as new. with the digital clock working just as it should with no missing pixels.

All displays and switchgear function perfectly. and again are un-marked.

Steering wheel and gear knob are as new. with zero signs of wear.

Carpets are exactly as they were when new. with original rubber mats still fitted which are also in great undamaged condition.
We have seen many MK1 Fiesta's in our time. including some extremely low mileage examples. This is the best we have seen and believe it must be one of the best remaining original examples left in existence.


Engine

As this fantastic little car fires into life. you cant help but smile to yourself.
This meticulously cared for car runs exactly as it should do. with the unmistakable sound of a crossflow engine.

Service history shows every care has been taken with this vehicle. and it has been much loved throughout its unstressed life.
Not only this. but opening the bonnet shows a very presentable engine bay which is totally original. and with any signs of any corrosion.

Of course. this car drives great.
Everything about the car still feels fantastically tight. the gear change is especially surprising. a nice precise and fulfilling gear change.

No unwanted noises anywhere on the car. brakes are good. and the car has recently had a full service so everything is exactly as it should be.
All underside components are in original condition. still with factory stickers/markings and without corrosion.
