I'm reluctantly selling my V8 Pilot after over 6 years of fun.   It's a very sound car which I use as a daily driver when the weather's good (so very little lately!).

The engine pulls strongly and it's reliable even on longer journeys. and doesn't burn or leak oil.

The jacking system is fully functional.   It's still running on 6v electrics. and has fitted fog lights and a rally light; it can be driven on unlit roads at night. but I prefer not to!  It has been fitted with flashing indicators.

The gearbox works smoothly. but will just occasionally slip out of 2nd on the overrun (but never slips out of gear under load).   The choke cable is broken. but all is present and should be a simple repair.   The radio. clock and cigarette lighter don't work; the fuel gauge works sometimes.   Other instrumentation is ok.   The tyres are new. and the brakes are good (I find them perfectly adequate for driving in traffic).   The headlining is new.

 

The carpets are good.   The upholstery is poor and could do with replacing.

 

The bodywork is basically sound. but needs cosmetic attention in places. and both the rear doors are rusty near their bottom edges.   All the chrome has a patina of age.

 

It has a current MOT (expires August) with no advisories. but is of course now MOT exempt.

 

I have plenty of documentation including MOTs for the last 6 years. bills. a driver's handbook and a workshop manual.   The car appears to be an older restoration. but I know nothing of its history before I bought it in November 2006.

This is a very honest warts-and-all description. Any inspection is welcomed. including a test drive.
