This single owner Cadillac Eldorado Convertible with just 250 original miles is one of 14. 00 Convertibles built in 1976. an extremely popular year for the Cadillac Convertible. In the decade before. every other US automaker had ceased production of their convertibles. Cadillac knew that 1976 would be the end of the line for theirs. making it the last US built convertible available. Its popularity went through the roof. 156% of the year before.
This Eldorado was purchased new from Kerr Cadillac Pontiac Buick Ltd. in Oakville. ON. Listed on the copy of the original bill of sale as a demo car. it was sold with just 35 miles on the odometer. Kerr Cadillac sold this Eldorado Convertible on February 20th 1976. to Mr. Keith C. Woodward under his company Fairview Fittings & Manufacturing. Ltd. The total purchase price. including options was $15. 58. 22 - which was half the price of an average home in that area at the time. Woodward purchased five more Cadillac Eldorados at that time. as an investment. This particular Eldorado is Cotillion White. the same colour as the 200 Eldorado Bicentennial Editions made to commemorate the final convertible.
Woodward kept his collection of six Cadillac Eldorados until quite recently when the family decided to sell a few off. This one was purchased by us with just 138 miles on the odometer. It was one of the few Cadillacs rarely driven by Woodward. We put another 122 miles on this Eldorado during road tests and outings after going over the car mechanically. It is an absolute joy to drive and is in time capsule survivor condition. Now showing just 250 original miles. this has to be one of the most original and best preserved Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles in existence.  
Anything is only original once. If you couldn't afford one new. this is your chance to own a basically brand new 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Convertible. The seats are pristine. the black top is like new. The engine compartment is as it would have been when delivered… The only signs of aging are on the front and rear plastic covers at the corners of the car. which. being plastic. degrade over time. We have not replaced them because they are the original parts to the car and we wanted to keep it completely original in every possible aspect. No expense was spared to get this Eldorado up and running as it should. The car is complete with original keys. original 1976 Cadillac A-Track cartridge still in plastic wrapper. service key tag and rear view mirror tag. from Kerr Cadillac. 1976 Owner and Vehicle Identification Plate. 1976 Cadillac Maintanence Schedule. Warranty Information Pamphlet (1976). Pristine Original Owners Manual. a color copy of the first registration. and a service callback card from Kerr Cadillac which states “Your 90 Day Free Service Adjustment will expire on: May 20th. 1976”.  
You won't find another one on the market like this. It is an icon of American motoring. the last of the “big” hand-built luxury cars from Detroit. Paint metering shows paint is within original factory tolerances. Mileage is documented. Ownership is known. The story is amazing!
 
Woodward's children explain their father's collection:
“In 1976 our father decided to purchase six Cadillacs from a local dealer. Our father spared no expense in purchasing the top of the line. fully optioned Cadillac Eldorado convertibles.
Upon taking possession of the vehicles. a number of the cars were promptly put into climate controlled storage. nicknamed the “Caddy Room”. specifically designed in a back room of our factory to preserve them. This particular vehicle remains 100% original as delivered condition with only 138 miles!
Our father's intent was to preserve all of the vehicles in pristine condition for investment purposes. It was believed at the time. that this would be the last year for the Cadillac convertible. therefore making these cars more desirable down the road.
One interesting fact that our family and employees were aware of. is that my father kept silver bars in the trunk of the cars. This was the “best known secret”. rather than the best kept secret!
Ultimately. of the vehicles purchased. our father previously sold a couple and our mother drives one to this day.
