EXTRAS

Number plate - MBW126 - worth several thousand dollars on their own
and doesn't cost any extra at rego time either!

Factory lambs wool seat covers for front and back
valued at approximately $4000. 00 at the time (see photos)
They are of a quality I have never seen before.
The back shows the natural hides used.
We never took them off while we drove the car
to keep the upholstery in pristine condition but they
are still in very good condition because I've hardly driven
it over the last four years.

Non factory mats front and back that I had made 2 years ago
Photos show drivers side firstly with and then without the mat highlighting
in how good condition the original wool carpet still is under the mat.

OTHER INFO

No rattles or shakes.

Suspension recently serviced so she floats along.
Last two photos (outside shots) are from a few years ago but they
are the only ones I have with the lambs wool car seat covers
on as I forgot to take some before they were taken off recently
to be detailed.

Two photos of dash instruments - first with engine off and
the second with engine on to show the excellent oil guage pressure
even when she is cold.

Never smoked in to my knowledge

Runs and drives like a luxury vehicle

HISTORY

Purchased new in Australia in 1987 from Worrells of Toorak the orignal owner of this incredible
Mercedes was reputedly a Hong Kong business man who had a domestic base in Melbourne and bought this Mercedes
to drive when he was here.

A few years after this he became ill and it was put into Mercedes storage in Victoria for seven years.

Owner number 2 was a Sydney based car fanatic who collected only Concourse standard original condition
vintage luxury cars and was alerted to this one by a broker who kept a look out for him.
It was driven up to Sydney and put into this man's (apparently) amazing car collection who was so passionate
about his cars he commissioned an original art work of each of them to show alongside the vehicle.

Life changed for him as well and he had to downsize his collection.
Owner number 3 was another car enthusiast who was in the right place at the right
time to get first look as this magnificent old girl and bought her on the spot.
A few years later space became his enemy and he sold her to us approximately 4 years ago.

Our life is so tied up with running the Manly Antique Centre we really don't have the time to
enjoy this incredible Mercedes as we should and so it is time to pass her on to owner number 5.
